The Fine Print

  • The Promotion starts at 5:00AM PT on March 6, 2017, and ends at 11:59PM PT on March 9, 2017 (the “Promotion Period”).
  • Extra eBay Bucks can only be earned on every single item purchased that meets the minimum purchase requirement specified in the offer (a “Qualifying Purchase”). Promotion is valid on multiple qualifying purchases made within the promotion time period. In order to qualify for the offer, you must click the email to activate.
  • Qualifying purchase excludes all items in the following categories: Classifieds, Business & Industrial, but only for Heavy Equipment within that category, Real Estate, Gift Cards & Coupons (including eBay Gift Cards, Gift Cards, and Digital Gifts within that category), Bullion (within the Coins & Paper category), and all categories in Motors, except Parts & Accessories.
  • Rewards are capped at $100 per transaction and $500 per Earn Period. Purchases must be completed during the Promotion Period and paid for with PayPal before the Promotion ends. eBay reserves the right to cancel, amend, or revoke the Promotion at any time. Other restrictions apply. See Terms & Conditions for details.

Our Verdict

Exclusions are same as always, still useful if you have other shopping to do on eBay. 10% back is the best they offer, so best to do shopping now if you have some to do on eBay.

Just asked this in another post but since this one is newer, where can i find references to all the crap you cant do now with Ebay and GCs? I thought there was a post on it. too many changes. It would help remind everyone who forgot. I totally did. You still get the bucks 1% using Ebay GC right? just not when buying other GCs?

I second this. It’s hard to know where i stand with eBay anymore. I’m curious as to what eBay bucks can no longer be applied to. I thought I read somewhere there are limitations on redemption where before you could use it for gift cards, bullion, etc.

Long story short: You cannot use ebay gift card to buy 3rd party gift cards. Normal ebay bucks earns reduces to 1%. Buying gift cards will not earn ebay bucks. Ebay bucks cannot buy ebay gift cards.

You WILL NOT earn portal cashback through some portals
You CAN use eBay gift cards to purchase. Limit $2K in eBay gift card redemptions per account per 60 days.
