Our Verdict

The best public bonus has been 60,000 miles + $100 statement credit with the annual fee waived (not currently available). I expect this to be frequently offered (although there are referral links for the slightly worse 60,000 miles + $50 statement credit offer). This targeted offer gives you an additional 10,000 miles, a lower spend requirement but the annual fee of $95 is not waived. This means you’re essentially paying $145 for 10,000 miles and the lower spend requirement. You can also get the same offer on the business card, this is better value as that only ever comes with the $50 statement credit AFAIK (so you’re basically paying $95 for 10,000 miles).

Is this worth applying for? Personally I don’t think Delta miles are worth 1.45¢ each (although I value miles significantly less than a lot of people, so keep that in mind and work out your own valuation). I’d prefer this offer over the business 60k + $50 deal as that would value the miles at 0.95¢ each.

So, I just got approved for the 60k + $50 via a referral link (no AF the first year) for the business card, and then i recived the targeted 70k + $50 + AF the first year via email the next day.

Any chance they’ll match me with some courtesy points without having to pay the AF the first year?

I just tried, and got 3,000 courtesy points. so 63k points + $50 and no AF the first year. Better than nothing. I didn’t even have to prove that i was targeted, but i did get the targeted email.

I got an offer for 60k by email, though with the annual fee waived the first year.

I am not following your $145 math there… The other offer has NO statement credit, waived fee. This offer has statement credit, not waived fee… so you are paying $45 for 10k miles, which is a decent deal.

Nevermind. I saw the $100 statement credit. That offer is better.
