The Fine Print

- Valid from November 30th till January 31st
- This is a targeted promotion, people with the following cards should be able to enroll:
- Both of the above cards bonuses if you meet a certain number of transactions per month, you will not earn this bonus on the additional 1x Membership Rewards point that this targeted promotion earns.
- On grocery store purchases you’ll earn at the following rates during this promotion:
- 3x on EveryDay
- 4x on EveryDay Preferred
- This is no additional point bonus on gas station purchases
Our Verdict
It’s good to see American Express offering more bonuses for small business purchases outside of their annual shop small period. It’d be great if they offered this as a permanent bonus, which is something they might be planning and are using this as a test to see if it’s profitable to do so.
If you can find a small business that codes as a grocery store and you earn the 50% bonus on the EveryDay preferred card, it will be possible to earn 5.5x points on these purchases which is an incredible earn rate. Earlier we also told people of a targeted department store bonus from American Express.
