Our Verdict

You can split payment in store with at least 8 credit cards and they sell Visa/Mastercard/American Express gift cards. Best bet is to buy the highest denomination you can for the number of cards you have (e.g $200 card if you have 4 cards with this offer). They offered a similar deal in December but for $20 off $100+.

You can also buy a few gift cards from officedepot.com including iTunes, Fandango, and of course their own. Fingers crossed you have this on a lot of your cards as this is a nice and profitable deal!

Did everyone else know that this was cumulative and not for one-time purchase? i didn’t, and was happily surprised when it kicked in after i bought a $50 groupon GC for $40, since i had spent over $10 a couple of weeks prior. Also, it least in my case, office depot did not have the groupon GC, while office max did.

Does anyone know whether Office Max and Office Depot sell Amazon GCs these days? From the Amazon website, it would seem that Office Max does sell them but not Office Depot. I have a couple of these offers on my SPG biz card, and I’ll be passing a couple of these stores in my travels next week (I no longer have a store anywhere near my home). Since the MC/Visa GCs are no longer on sale (and who knows if they’ll ever do that again after the last fiasco), I’m thinking I’d like to replenish my Amazon GC balance at 20% off by buying $50 Amazon GCs.
