Barclaycard has been sending out a number of targeted spending offers to their cardholders, check your e-mail account to see if you’re targeted for any. Some people have very limited success in getting some of these promotions added to their account when they weren’t targeted in the past.
It seems that these offers are mostly being sent out to people that don’t have much existing spend on these cards.

- Receive 10,000 bonus points when you spend $250 or more in the following months: July, August and September
- Earn 2x bonus points (three points per dollar spent in total) in the following categories: Restaurants, electronics stores and amusement parks. Register by July 20th and promotion runs until September 30th (starts on July 1st), maximum of 2,500 bonus points
I’ve also heard that more people will be targeted for these offers (and other offers for other Barclaycard products) starting July 1st. So if you haven’t received one yet, don’t worry you might get lucky in a few days.
Dumb question, the 2 bonus miles are on top of what you regularly earn correct?
So overall, it’s 3 miles per dollar on the targeted categories?
does anyone have subject lines for these emails so I can search my email? Thanks 😀
For the Aviator, I got an offer of a maximum of up to _2500_ bonus miles instead of just 2000.
@Jim what is the full URL?’
Signed up for Barclay’s us airways card in April. Used it to fund citibank gold. Tried getting Barclay’s world arrival last week to the bonus. They wouldn’t give me. First time rejected. No issue with fico or salary or assets. Have savings with Barclay’s and told them could cover any credit limit they gave me many times over with my assets. They wouldn’t budge. Data point for readers. They suggested they wanted to see more history on the card aka wanted the card to be profitable before giving me a new one.
My wife signed up for the Barclays US Airways card near the end of its run and hasn’t received the Aviator card yet. Will she qualify for any of these offers?
Had been getting promotions along these lines with Priceline 2% Card (Barclays and no longer available) since beginning of 2015. Needed to spend $1250 (for 2,500 pts) in categories like grocery and then gas stations. Seems like the credit would post 90 days after promotion ended. So hoping that around July 1st here to get first bonus from 1st quarter 2015. Quite a lag until promotion gets paid out. This better work.
That 2% Priceline card is now a 3.3% card on everything when you redeem against priceline NYOP or express deal bookings, and 8.3% back on those bookings themself. Treat it like gold.
If you’ve received a spending bonus e-mail from them in the past and still have it, you can modify the link to this current quarter and keep receiving it. I’ve done it. Copy the link from the old e-mail and edit the: “/EMQ32015spend” section (edit that to current quarter). You’ll receive a confirmation on the website, and confirmation e-mail.
I found the link, but didn’t see a “/EMQ32015spend” section, was wongdering if I copied the wrong link
So when you do this, are the bonus categories the same as the ones offered in the email that you modified the link from? Or are they the categories from the latest promotion?
For example, I have an offer email from last year for 2 bonus points for each dollar spent on gas, dining purchases, as well as purchases at department, toy and game stores. Limit of 2,500 bonus Reward Points.
If I activate using a date-modified version of the link in that email, do I get those bonuses, or the “Restaurants, electronics stores and amusement parks” bonuses? Also, how about the 10,000 points offer?
Thanks for the info.
