8/8: Applied for account online; Funded with $1000 from Chase Freedom Unlimited
8/10: Account activated; applied for online access; online access granted; $1000 cleared (coded as purchase)
11/14: Called regarding the bonus not received yet; was told to call back during normal business hours when “that department” is open
11/15: Called again and was told that bonuses go out in weekly increments and to call back on 11/18 if bonus not received
11/18: Called again and was told that bonuses got out in batches a couple of times a month and to call back in a week if not received by then
11/30: Called again and was told that the bonus “should be in there by the end of this of week”
12/8: Called again and was told that there was a problem with the system and that I will have the bonus “by the end of the day”; $100 bonus received later in the day
12/13: Account withdrawn to $0
12/15: Attempted to close account via online chat but was told that it would close automatically in a few weeks because it had $0 balance
1/3: Logged into account and could see that it was closed

8/29: Opened account, funded with Citi Hilton (billed as purchase)
12/01: “Account opening bonus” $100 posted

Side note: I needed to finish off the initial spend on a card so I opened a savings account in October for $1000, funded with card (also billed as purchase). No bonus for this account obviously, but easy way to finish off the minimum spend for a card bonus.

Opened 07/08/2016 $500.00 CC deposit. Used the account very modestly. Bank said they were MO deposit friendly crediting MO deposits same day. That advice has been true for the few times I have made MO deposits including today (10/10/2016).
10/10/2016 Account Opening Bonus $100.00 credited despite it being Columbus Day which is a bank holiday for much of the USA.

I got my new CSR card today. Called and lowered the CA limit to $100, then did some real grocery shopping, came home and opened the Pinnacle account. I funded it with 1K from the CSR and it’s pending. They said they are reviewing the account. Their questions were kind of funny because they were all about my family and not about me. Anyway, thanks a lot for this. I needed the 1K in spending. Also, I thought it was kind of strange that my CSR card came in the mail already activated.

Tried to open account on 8/25 with $1000 Citi Hilton, was denied due to “inability to verify identity.” Called rep, was advised to reapply. Reapplied today, funded with $400 on Citi Hilton. Approved 2 hours later. Charge shows as pending purchase with Citi. Original $1000 charge still showing as pending with Citi Hilton.

Deposited MO in B&M location today .. Bank indicated those funds post and available same day. Checked on line. Seems to be correct. Debit card action same day when thru normally.

Got shut down today. Wal-mart MoneyGram MO apparently was the trigger. 6 x $1000.00 the same day. No previous MS MO problems.

Anyone have issues getting past the funding page in the application? It just hangs without progressing. I can login to the app again and retry where I left off, but it does the same thing. I click Continue, and the button changes to the animated button and then never progresses. I’m using my Citi AAdvantage Business card and have set cash advance limit to $0. Could that be the issue? That’s it’s trying to do a cash advance (at least initially)? Others here have been using Citi Premier, so I was hoping this would work… Thanks!

I have tried different credit card and had the same issue. I called the bank and they said they are aware of it and working on it. Try back later.

Ah, thanks for sharing. I was assuming it was just because it was trying to do a cash advance and not going through. So they didn’t offer to take your credit card by phone or anything? Update us if you hear anything new or get it to go through! Thanks,

I tried to log in to complete the application tonight. It went through the funding page and completed the application. I funded $1000 with Chase UA with CA set to zero.

Awesome, thanks! I finally got it to go through for me as well – funded $1,000 with Citi AAdvantage Biz card. 🙂
