Our Verdict
We’ve covered the various United offers a number of times, including the last 70k miles offer — which, like this offer, was the highest ever. If you’re lucky enough to be targeted for the 70k offer and are looking for United miles, there are very few better signup bonuses. If you’ve recently signed up for a 50k offer, it couldn’t hurt to SM Chase and ask them to match, but the prospects of being matched are probably not very good — as Will noted in the last 70k miles post, Chase can be very peculiar about matching.
As far as I am aware, all of these offers, including any targeted offers you get in the mail, are subject to 5/24.
If you’re considering applying for this card, you’ll definitely want to review the things everybody should know about Chase credit cards first.

Hmm, wondering if any folks have been able to apply for either the 50k or targeted 70k offers of late?
I kept getting the 50k, so was about to give up on the 70k and proceed with applying for the 50k. But alas, no matter which link I use, including on the United.com page where the 50k offer is advertised, the page forwards me to a dead-end at:

Anyone know if secure message reps will provide a match? I keep getting 50k+$50, would really prefer the 70k+$50 offer…

Looks like that is your only option if you are not targeted. Let us know how that goes. I know with the old public 30k, chase will match the targeted 50k. Maybe they will do the same here.
I received a 70K flier in the mail yesterday without the $50 statement credit. I logged into the United website this morning and only a 70K mile bonus and no $50 statement. I went to create a dummy booking and there was the the 70k offer with the $50 statement credit.
Don, would you check the mailed card that you received and tell us when the 70K offer expires? Thanks.
Do we know what the deadline one the 70K targeted offer is? My MPE annual fee hit last week, and thinking of PCing and reapplying for this card since I got it a few years ago and should be eligible for the bonus. I would rather wait to get it to due to other planned applications etc. but wanted to see if anyone had any intel on when this will be available till?
If you decide to pursue this be sure to read your offer very carefully and do not assume anything. After I clicked through and saw only the 50K offer (not the 70K) I looked through the pricing and details, discovered the annual fee is NOT waived. Triple-checked, and no fee waiver the first year.

Anyone know if you can do the public 50k with $50 statement+95 annual fee and then SM chase to get it match to the target 70k. I know with the old public 30k wit $50 statement +annual fee waived, chase will match the targeted 50k.
My offer is 50K bonus miles but the annual fee is NOT waived. Same here and when logging into my United account.
Does the Chase Private Client approach work with this promotion (to bypass 5/24)?
