- Bill Pay
- Debit Card
- HELOC
- Credit Card
- Direct Deposit
- Minimum Balance $500
- Online Relationship
- Senior Discount
- eStatement

In April they are changing the fee structure on this account as well.
Early Account Termination Fee
It does need to be kept open for six months otherwise the bonus is forfeit.
Our Verdict
They have offered a $150 bonus in the past. Given that it’s a hard pull to open I don’t think either bonus is seriously worth considering (much easier to get a credit card sign up bonus, these aren’t taxed either). Mountain America do offer a 3% bonus on balance transfers with their credit card, so those thinking about going for that bonus might want to sign up for this account first. I won’t be adding this to our best bank bonus page.
Big thanks to reader Curmudgeon for sending these through.

Update. I opened this account 2 days ago, but Mountain America CU said they can’t honor this promotion because it’s from April, 2016 and was offered only for a few months last year. When I asked them if they have a similar promotion running in 2017, they said they don’t have anything similar right now. Spoke to Tyler Briggs. Please update the post to “Expired”. Thanks.
Finally something for Utah residents!
I see hotels.com offer on my amex offers… If you are interested in doing a Post… 🙂
I see it only on my MB Plat.
Not a new offer, pretty sure we covered it. For GC right?
FWIW I’ve never met four of their qualifying services and have never been charged a monthly fee. Got the bonus the last time they offered it.
Interesting, how long have you had the account? Wondering if they will be stricter in terms of monthly fees after the change.
Since last February. When I applied to get the bonus, I figured I’d just eat the $4 fee, but they ended up never charging me. Now I just use it to deposit MOs. I’ll see if they charge me in April and reevaluate then.
Thanks for the info
