The Fine Print

- There’s no minimum checking account balance required to earn your $100 bonus.
- The bonus will be deposited to your account after your direct deposit of $250 or more has posted for two consecutive months. Please notify STCU when you have met the qualifications, and we will deposit $100 into your STCU account within 10 days.
- All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them
Avoiding Fees
There is a $10 membership fee, this is waived if you become a member online. Their standard checking account does not have any monthly fees. I wasn’t able to find a fee schedule, so I’m not sure if any early account termination fee is charged or not.
Our Verdict
Not the biggest bonus so it’ll need to be a soft pull and lax on the direct deposit requirement to be worth considering. If anybody has any datapoints for this bank, please share them in the comments. As always, have a look through the best checking bonuses first before considering this one.
