  • I got in on this really late, 8:30am west coast. It was sold out online but I was able to place my order over the phone.

  • Yup. These deals now go OOS fast thanks to the plethora of these miles/points blogs and worse, all the greedy miles/points hoarders out there that order ridiculous, obnoxious quantities at a time. It's EMFH in this game. (Every Man For Himself)

    • If you're referring to the @dochotdeals Twitter account they set up recently then yes, that's how I got word of the sale just before midnight Pacific. I don't use Twitter aside from some dummy accounts for AMEX Offers but had subscribed via the text message method somebody else suggested and it worked great!

    • I placed mine less than an hour after it went live. I did one in my name and one in my wife's. Wasn't going to go further.

      I suspect people placing several orders will get entire orders denied, possibly banhammers. This isn't Staples first rodeo with this type of deal and they're up there with EBay for having a quick trigger and low abuse tolerance for limit sales.

      • I missed the deal. But, Anthony, I guess your order seems fine. 1 your order, 1 wife's is genuine. 6 is Genuine purchase. Ban need to be on people who go beyond ridiculous quantities- Like 4+ orders.

        • Agree. I hope that Staples is diligent in not allowing more than 1 order of 3 cards per person. These deals will be more sustainable if we don't go overboard with them and abuse the system. It would've been wise if Staples could hard code the coupon to only work for one order too though, so some of the blame should be placed there.
