  • Looks like this is back 20% , $5 min.

Used my PayPal debit card to tack on another 5% (restaurant category).

  • The question is how do you spend these. I have some $5 Panera giftcards that I got for free. I have no idea how to spend them to get best bang for buck. I do have multiple Sip Club memberships (free trials) if that matters.

    • The only thing I ever order at Panera is their Lobster Rolls during the summertime (I’m in the mid-Atlantic and unsure they’re available nationwide). They’re currently priced at $23 each for 4 oz of lobster meat, about 50% less than comparable ones from Mason’s or Luke’s (IYKYK), but the real deal is to buy 2 in their You-Pick-Two combo, they end up being only $20.50 each.

Every Saturday my partner and I get 2 full sized lobster rolls and share the free drink through sip club plus the discounted cookie for $1.20 you can add on to a combo, ends up costing about $45 but with the discounted gift cards ends up being only $36, which is super reasonable nowadays.

    • I do $6.99 value duet for my lunch pretty much everyday. Some places have it for $8.99.

    • I get a lot of emails for “buy one, get one for $5.” That’s usually the best deal I get. Other than that, I tend to get full sandwiches rather than “pick two” because it’s a better deal. And I usually just ask for a water cup rather than paying for a drink.

    • Hard to get best bang for your buck at Panera these days, they’ve gotten pretty expensive. But if you have the sip club, you wait for their occasional deals or take advantage of buying a Value meal, adding the free drink and getting discounted bakery item for “buying a meal”

      • Placing your free sip club beverage order at the in-store kiosk is like the lottery where they often offer you a bagel for $1 or pastry for $2.

    • Go to Panera and buy something that sounds good? Do you really need someone to tell you the best way to extract max value from a fast food gift card?

      • Thank you for your valuable contribution.

To answer your questions (not that you tried to answer any of mine):

        1. No it doesn't sound good, I want the best bang for buck as I clearly stated.
        2. Yes, I do need someone to tell me what is the best possible deal in store I never shop in (besides grabbing free drink).
  • Sometimes there is a promo for new subscribers. What is considered a new subscriber? I've had the subscription in the past, and I have canceled it so I wonder if I have to wait a certainly length of time before I'm considered a new subscriber to sign up to take advantage of it.

    • All you have to do is go to your profile on mobile app and delete your account. Once done, the same email is eligible for new subscriber promos. They almost always have 2-3 months sipclub promo running.

On the mobile app: Hamburger menu > Profile & settings > My Information > delete account(all the way to the bottom)

  • what yall know abt gameflip... they got panera 50% off sometimes hunnid percent legit

  • There's also a deal on Groupon... for $22.49 with code 'savemore' you get 3 months of the Panera Sip Club plus a $25 Panera gift card.

  • Purchased through the app with Amex gold. Confirmed received 4X restaurant spend.

    • Panera one of the very few places you can buy gift cards through panera, and not a 3rd party.

  • The biggest problem with this is that you still need to spend the gift card.

I did the deal a while ago. When I actually went to Panera and saw the menu and the price, I realized that I had forgotten about the experience when purchasing the gift cards. Told myself would never do this again.

  • Purchased gift card with US Bank Cash+ card and got 15% cash back thru their bank smartly program ($20 max). Not bad to get a total of 35% off of a $170 gift card.
