Buying gas gift cards has a lot of value
Its discounted, you can meet minimum spend easier and the best of all you pay the cash price at the pump instead of the credit card price which is usually 10c cheaper.
Exxon here in Brooklyn always has a 10c difference between cash and credit prices.
So if you buy lets say an Exxon $50 for $46
You save $4 plus $2 for cash price if the gas is $2.50 a gallon.
With the $6 to $8 you save per $50 you go into the stations convience store and you buy your drink snack and lottery 😉
Anyone willing to point me to a source that explains how to maximize value out of these gift cards? I’m willing to put in the reading and research; I’ve read through FlyerTalk trying to figure out why posts like these are so popular, but I might be overthinking it.
Most of these are just good for regular spend you have with that merchant, no real reselling opportunity.

I was definitely overthinking it. I was looking into credit card rewards to buy from specific vendors, and trying to figure out how to liquidate these cards to pay off the credit cards, but all avenues seemed to not be worth the effort.
The gas cards are almost always going to be better than your CC rewards at the pump (although with more hassle). If you have a few prescriptions CVS at 10% off is good. Meijer is generally competitive for groceries and general goods and so even better at 6% off. You can also use Meijer gift cards to buy other gift cards, so you can trade those onto many other GC.
It used to be possible to resell these for a profit, but that died a year ago. So yeah now it’s just discounted gift cards to use in your regular spending.

Ebay had that “spin the wheel” promotion about a month ago and I received two $5 gift Ebay cards. Although it’s not explained anywhere in the email when I received them, or when I try to use them at checkout, you cannot use Ebay gift cards to purchase other gift cards (or for some reason, physical coins).
Also, Meijer is $94 not $90. Too bad, 10% off would have been nice for Meijer.

BP gift cards? I’d be very interested in some, as the only place I can get them around here is the grocery store – not even the BP stations have them. None here, though.
SVM used to have BP pretty regularly at $94, but I haven’t seen for awhile. Hopefully they bring them back again.
If you have a Ink at least where I have Staples/Office Max have them pretty reliably, so can get 5% back. But better when they’re on Ebay so you can get 6% off + 2%+ on your CC.
Please note one ebay account can have a max. purchase of 3 speedy. But you may have/open more than one ebay account. Maybe that’s a little helpful to boost min. purchase requirement on CC. Just wondering if it is safe to do so on AE without being caught by RAT.
