Our Verdict

It seems like lately you’re not eligible for this deal if you’ve done the same points deal within the last 12 months. Still worth checking to see if you are targeted or not and obviously a great deal if you are. This deal works on third party gift cards, but not Amazon or Visa gift cards. Had offer of Get 30% off eligible products when using points.
Maximum discount $30.
I activated the offer no problem. Go to actually use it and not getting the discount.
tried multiple shipped & sold by amazon items wih no discounts or coupons.
Paying with dicovercard and using some discover points.

Anyone solved this problem?

I never had a Discover card. Is it worth getting a discover card just to get this deal?

Probably not. But it’s an alright card to have.
The best way to get it is by going through a referral link. That way you and referrer get $100 each, plus you get the standard discover offer of matched cashback for the first year. Make sure to max out the 5% categories which will become 10%.

For anyone interested in the discover card as well and willing to wait, maybe wait for Q3.5 to get a discover card. You can double the 5% quarterly which is most likely digital wallets or Paypal (as history has shown) to the max $75. Prior to the 365 days of double cashback is up, it’ll be Q3 2025 with maybe paypal or digital wallets being the 5% category. You can churn it on something easily to get another doubling. It’s a maximum potential $75 bonus but hey, $75 is $75.

Not eligible, again. I guess they’re getting back at me for using it 13 times before with different emails.

Did you have the same personal info and payment method on all the accounts? Have you had any issues with Amazon suspending you for multiple accounts?

After using 1 point, is there a way to finish paying from a non Discover source?

You can use your gift card balance to cover the remaining charge (assuming you are not buying a gift card). If you do not have a balance, you can add money to it using your other credit card first.

Last time it was a USbank offer. I used 1 point but was unable to find a way to use my GC balance. When I selected it, it erased the discount so I ended up using my USbank CC. What steps did I miss? Thanks

When your order amount is less than your gift card balance, sometimes Amazon does not allow you to use gift card in combination with the credit card points offer. The trick is adding an expensive item to your cart so that your order amount is more than your gift card balance, then Amazon will apply your gift card balance first during check out, and now you can remove that expensive time from your cart and Amazon will still allow you to use gift card (in combination with credit card points) to pay for the entire order.

I haven’t done this recently but successfully did it many times before.

I think they stopped this trick.

Before pressing place order, just make sure your order total is higher than your gift card balance, then in the final checkout page, remove the extra items. Your gift card will then still apply at that point.

I was successfully able to use 1 Discover point and use GC balance for the rest today.
Another point, I wish Amazon had a filter that only displayed items they sell and ship. That would be a huge time saver

Like the Citi offer, it may have ended on December 31; the link leads to an empty page.

I got $10 off $75+ for Amazon sold and shipped products. It’s pretty hard for me to buy something of value with those constraints so I’m passing.
