Amazon Returns At Kohl’s Now Available At All Locations ($5 Bonus)

Update 10/22/20: Looks like Kohl’s is offering $5 Kohl’s cash on receipts when making Amazon returns.

Update 4/23/19: Starting July Kohl’s will be accepting Amazon returns at all stores. The press release states that eligible items will be eligible for a return, but doesn’t state what those eligible items actually are. Hat tip to MtM

Original post (October, 2017) Last month we shared a story about Kohl’s accepting Amazon returns in a pilot program. That program is now live across 10 select stores in Los Angeles & Chicago. Every participating store will have an ‘Amazon Smart Home Experience’ store within a store. When it was originally announced they stated 82 stores would be part of the pilot program, so I assume this a pilot program within the pilot program giving Amazon a store within a store. Frustratingly as far as I know Kohl’s hasn’t provided a list of where these 10 stores actually are.

  • $5 is pretty low.. they were doing $10 per return last month.. $5 barely covers the gas to get there

  • I got $5 kohl's cash on my last return earlier this week--thought I just got lucky and won the return lottery. Had been getting a %off the other times I've returned something and those are pretty worthless for me, as I always seem to be getting %off codes via email anyway and at least those I can use online too and tie in a shopping portal.

  • Yes I got a $5 Kohl's cash for an Amazon return a couple weeks ago. Prompted me to actually buy something for super cheap. I'm guessing Kohl's wasn't getting very much usage of the 25% coupons that were being generated before. $5 KC is more attractive to me as I can just pick up a small item for dirt cheap each time I need to make a return.

  • Heard on NPR this morning Kohl's gets nothing from Amazon & pays the return shipping costs themselves. Makes sense to me. I'm not a Kohl's shopper, but I could absolutely see myself browsing & impulse buying during a return.

  • All the times I’ve done an Amazon return at Kohl’s, the receipt confirmation they gave me contained a 20% Kohl’s coupon good for a week.

There are times during the year when Kohl’s shockingly doesn’t have a current %-off coupon, or times like Black Friday week where they have only 15% off. If they continue offering these 20% codes you could always do an intentional Amazon return to get one a few days before you need it to save a little more. Worked well during Black Friday last year.

    • Kohl's couponing lifestyle comes with Kohl's Charge card LOL If not for Kohl's Charge and ongoing 30% off monthly I won't ever shop there

    • Or get a 30% off of ebay for $1 or less. I wouldn’t process anymore needless returns than need be on Amazon as they track that activity and auto ban customers.

  • My guess is anything shipped by Amazon will be eligible. Worst case is it is only items sold by Amazon.

  • Interesting... I wonder if eligible items will include those sold by third party sellers or just those sold by Amazon itself? Guess we'll find out....John 3:16
