'Tis better to have love and lost, then to have never loved at all.
Why are people wanting to transfer to Hawaiian? Should I still transfer?
Cause you can transfer hawaii to alaska
What a time to have been alive
I assume when they move the points over from Hawaiian to Alaska they will depreciate the awards again
How about one last bonus transfer, Amex?
Good luck with that. There is a 0.0000001% chance of that happening.
Just moved 526,000 amex points to Hawaiian. Went instant. When moving for Hawaiian to Alaska you can only do it in 500,000 max increments. The first 500k went instant. Waiting on the 2nd 26k
Do you have to pay fee for the transfer?
Yes. Amex charges a transfer fee when transferring to any of the American airlines. There are no fees for foreign airline transfers.
When am I going to have to hit the $20k sub on my business platinum to get the points in time?
Delta is launching fireworks on July 1st this year to celebrate!
how many MR should one bank as Alaska instead?
That's different for everyone. If you don't have an upcoming need for flights on Alaska, and don't have a lot of excess Amex MR points, then it's probably not advisable to speculatively transfer. Keep your Amex MR points flexible.
