American Express has announced that the San Francisco Centurion lounge will be expanded. The lounge will almost double in size to almost 16,000 square feet. This is an expansion and the additional space is adjacent to the current lounge, the existing lounge will remain operational for the majority of the construction period but there will be periods of time where sections will be closed.

my parents and i went here in the evening once and it was really nice. it was about 2 years ago. glad to read that expansion will happen.
I'm glad they're finally doing this, that lounge changed from my favorite part of the airport experience to a hit-or-miss due to crowding over time.
Smart to do this while travel is down. It's been a few years since I've visited the SFO lounge, but it was always crowded - sometimes standing room only, rather defeating the point.
Usually it's better idea to just to go Priority Pass Restaurant.
Not with AmEx Platinum though.
Only been here once at 9pm and it was very crowded that I didn’t want to go back again.
