[Expired] Amex Offers: 1,500 MR Points with $100 Supermarket Purchase! [Targeted]

This offer has expired, sign up for instant notifications to avoid missing any deals in the future.

The Offer

Check your Amex logins for this targeted offer:

  • Get 1,500 bonus Membership Rewards points by spending $100+ in-store or online at U.S. Supermarket locations

The Fine Print

  • Expires 11/30/17
  • $100 can be made in a single transaction or across multiple transactions

Our Verdict

This is basically free points for most of us who shop at grocery stores. Even better if you got the offer on a card like Blue or Everyday which always earn bonus rewards at the grocery. I can’t find it on any of my cards yet, but many are seeing it.

click on ‘Available Points’. it should direct you to ‘MR Activity Detail’ page. mine showed:

11/27/2017 Earned Supermarket Rewards! 1,500

*purchased VGC on 11/25 at Safeway during the GC promo last week.

Report: Whole Foods $100 VGC worked.

I got the generic “you used your amex offer” email but it could be from the extra “1x at whole foods” amex offer as well. Unlike the 5 guys amex offer, for which I got a “look for $5 statement credit” email, I did not get a “look for 1500 mr points” email, but the points posted a day or two after the transaction posted.

I guess I’m a little confused – do you have to spend the $100 in one shot? Or can it be split over multiple visits?

Never mind! I’m a dummy, I just re-read the whole thing. Thanks for the post.

Did you mean you did not get email confirmation after the purchase? I did not get the email either when I made a purchase Sprouts Farmers market which is definitely a supermarket. I bought $100 gift card.

Yes no email. Whole Foods is listed as being a supermarket on their reference pages so I’ll fight this if points don’t post.

I bought $100 GC at whole foods and got the “you just used your amex offer” email, but I can’t tell whether that was for this supermarket one or the 1x extra for whole foods one.
