Our Verdict

Lock in the discount by purchasing BBB gift cards in-store or online. You can also choose from a long list of third-party gift cards carried by BBB in-store, maybe they even have Amazon there. You can split a transaction in a BBB store by at least 4 credit cards.

Milestomemories notes that this deal will stack well with the $200 Visa gift card deal upcoming at BBB on November 24, as well as Ebates in-store cashback (currently 2%).

I tried an e-gift card, and it did not work. Was hoping that didn’t actually follow-through.

I went to BB&B in San Jose, California last night to check out their gift card selection. They don’t sell any Amazon or eBay GCs, but they do have some other decent options such as Shell. Here’s a picture of everything they had (YMMV since every store will probably stock different GCs):

The $25 Visa and Mastercard GCs had a $3.95 activation fee, so there’s potential for a small profit there.

Got a variation of this on an AU Everyday Preferred card: 500 MR points instead of $5.

Offered on 2 cards, 2 tabs open, clicked one and the offer immediately disappeared on other. First time this has happened. Any tips on next time? 2 separate browsers?

I always use separate browsers – IE, Chrome and Firefox.
I was able to save this offer on 3 cards and got confirmation emails from AMEX today when I used it to buy 3 Shell gift cards

These guys always have 20% vouchers floating around too. You can actually get some decent deals that are better priced than other large retailers.

Not to mention their awesome return policy… They will literally take back or exchange anything even if you don’t have the receipt. I use it as a “warranty” that doesn’t expire. I try to buy all of my small kitchen appliances with them.

BBB will have $200 mc/vgc’s on blackfriday with a $15 MIR from BBB (not sure if it will be store card or regular use anywhere prepaid card). Limit 2 of those.
So buying one $200 card should trigger your $5 savings from amex.

you can find the rebate form to confirm all this by going to retailer, bottom page, rebates, then link at bottom of rebate site

good luck

That rebate offer is for a $25 BBB GC with a $200 Blackhawk Visa or MasterCard 11/24-11/27.

awesome!

also while adding this offer, i saw in my blue business plus card (my only MR earning card) had an offer for shoprite below. not sure if this was previously covered. seems to be a great deal.

“Get 2,000 additional Membership Rewards points each time you use your enrolled Card to make a single purchase of $75+ in-store at ShopRite or online at plan.shoprite.com/stores by 1/10/2018. Limit 4,000 Membership Rewards points. See terms for exclusions.”
