So… how does it work when you’ve got TWO different Staples offers going on at the same time? If I use one of my cards that has the Staples/Home Depot offer loaded to buy $250 worth of stuff at Home Depot, do I get BOTH $75 AND $20 back???

PDXDealsGuy

Great question, Glenn!

Jason
Jason

You should get both; they are different offers with different terms. Test it and tell us what happens.

I can report that I got two Congrats! emails. BTW, I should have said bought $250 worth of stuff at STAPLES not Home Depot.

What are you thinking to max this? EBAY gift cards?

I’m going to going to go the simple and easy route. Two $200 Visa or MasterCard GCs on one transaction split between 4 Amex cards and then cash them out with money orders. After fees I’m looking at a profit of $65.10 per transaction that way. You’ve got to love having lots of AU cards and Serves. I should clear almost $1k plus points off this one. 🙂

Mike,

I have a question cuz I’m not too familiar with Staples.
Are you talking about online order or in-store?
(Do they allow you to split to 4 cards online?)

Thanks!

Jesse

How are you splitting the transaction between 4 cards? Are you doing this in store, because I see nowhere on the website to divide the transaction.

Mike

In store.

I’m probably not as experienced at this game as others, but if you have 4 Amex cards @ $20/per – doesn’t that equal $80 (less when deducting for fees), not $1K?

I am probably missing something here in the analysis,- are you adding in the value of the Amex Membership Rewards?

He has more than 4 cards, more to the 60+ Amex cards. DOC, you’re the MAN. I just sync my 40+ cards to this offer. Thanks.

wow! ok

Yea, thanks for killing this one for us normal people. 40 cards is just stupid. 6am and it’s already dead, because of the robo-syncers.

You are awesome!! I am so glad I checked before I went to bed. After missing out on the officedepot deal this morning (I am on pacific time and it ended so quickly) I thought I should check late at night to see if any new deals came out.

Eric

If I lived in Pacific time I don’t think I would have missed any of these deals. Unlike sports it seems that these deals are “West Coast biased”.

D*MN, finally went through the miserable trouble of signing up for a new twitter account (which required a new email account too), then figured out how to “tweet” for this offer — only to get this:

Sorry, max # of Card Members have enrolled in #AmexStaples offer.

I hate (sic) twitter crap.

BUT, lesson learned again, check with doctor of credit long before dawn each day. 🙂

These “offers” are getting to be a joke. You have to get in in the first 10 minutes of the offer or you’re out. Getting to be a joke.

Wtf.. They effing release it overnight and it still dies in an hour.

Wait, so this deal was dead before 4 a.m.? Say Doc, you got a scam going with these deal folks to have them all dead before anybody who doesn’t follow you wakes up? *tic

Damn… Missed this offer and office depot. Ugh.

Office Depot deal was Meh.

I purposely didn’t sign up for it while I could.

You can buy stamps at Office Depot — not a moneymaker, but the could have saved you money (assuming you use regular mail).

Eric

What about buying Visa gc? That’s a MM. I wish I saw the offer in time to sign up.

Mark O

Office depot was almost the same deal. $10 off $50 is equal percentage wise to $20 off of $100.

This didn’t seem to make it on to the Amex Offers website. How did anyone find out this existed? And yes, bummer that I missed out, but I sleep 2 to 4 AM 🙂

RL

This did make it on the Amex Offers online. I signed up for it on every single card via Amex.com. I just happened to check DOC before I went to bed and saw this post and right after I added the last card around 2:40AM CST, the deal was dead.

I guess the only way to have an alarm set to your to wake up in the middle of the night lol.

These deals are nutty.
