[Expired] Apple: 10% Bonus on Apple Account Fund Load (max $20 bonus)

Update 7/26/20: Deal back through 7/30/20

Update 6/29/20: Deal is back through 7/10/20. Stack the deal by using your Amex card to get the monthly streaming credit. (Hat tip to my friend Esther)

The Offer

  • Apple is offering a 10% bonus when you load funds of up to $200 with your Apple ID.

To load on iPhone, go to Settings > Apple ID > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID > View Apple ID > Add Funds to Apple ID.

The Fine Print

  • Valid through 3/14
  • Bonus limit is 1

Our Verdict

I believe this Apple account credit is the equivalent to iTunes credit (?). 10% discount isn’t massive (you can often get iTunes gift cards at a larger discount), but useful for someone who needs funds there now. Looks like BofA Cash Rewards can earn 3x at Apple; conflicting data points on whether it works for 3x on ATT.

  • Are there any more DPs re whether it's possible to get 3x (up to 5.25%) back on the BofA Business cash rewards card, in the computer services category? there is a place in the promotional material for that card that says 3% back on computers

  • I did this last time around and also received 10x on my CSR, maybe include that in the post. It essentially amounts to a 25% bonus, so it’s worth it if you pay for anything significant through your Apple ID

  • Been a long while since the last good 15-20% off deal and balance is running low so I'll take it. There's been a few Target and Best Buy offers I think but I haven't seen any plain dollar amount discounts recently.

Also remember you can change your Apple payment method to PayPal and there's 5% cashback on PayPal with Discover for this quarter.

  • Can I buy ipad from apple store using the apple load fund ($200) and pay rest with credit card?
    If Yes, how? TIA.

  • Thanks for this! My funds were running low. Normally I try to get them at 15% off during the deals but this is also good.

  • Can an App Store & iTunes physical gift card be used as the form of payment to add funds to the Apple ID under terms of the promotion?

    • iTunes gift cards are redeemed and not a form of payment so that would not work.

Apple ran this promotion before. I was hoping that they would up their game and let it apply to loading Apple Cash :)

  • Does anyone know if this works with family accounts? And subscriptions like Apple Music?
