Yesterday news broke that allegedly Kawhi Leonard signed a secret $28 million dollar deal with FinTech Aspiration to skirt the NBA salary cap. Steve Ballmer and LA Clippers have denied any wrongdoing but as we have covered Aspiration many times I thought some readers might be interested in watching/listening to the PTFO episode about this (embedded below).Β

Hey, kids, today's lesson is all about "plausible deniability." Let's get started!
P.S. We will also cover the bonus topic of "when you are owed money in a shady deal, don't file a claim with the bankruptcy court that spotlights the whole thing." Part of our series: "Things Tony Soprano Wouldn't Do."

Thought they were a socially responsible fintech bank....
No such thing.
Kawhi doesnβt show up to his NBA job very often, so how is his endorsement deal with Aspiration any different? Perhaps it was a legitimate endorsement deal, but nagging injuries kept him from appearing in advertising.
always avoided this "deal"
He was a lousy MSN CEO too.
