Barclays Hawaiian Airlines Card Now Earns 3x Points On Alaska Airlines Purchases

In the wake of the Alaska-Hawaiian merger, Hawaiian Airlines personal and business cards now earn 3x points on Alaska Airlines flight bookings. That’s the same rate they’ve been earning on Hawaiian Airlines flight bookings.

Your Hawaiian Airlines® World Elite Mastercard® just got even better. You already earn 3x HawaiianMiles on eligible Hawaiian Airlines purchases. Now, you’ll also earn 3x HawaiianMiles on eligible Alaska Airlines purchases.

  • Is there any reason to keep this card if already holding the BofA AS card? I can't think of any.

    • If you're using it for everyday spend to get HA/AS miles, the bonus categories are different.

    • If you aren't churning and hit spend, you could have multiple companion passes if it keeps the trajectory of offering the same things as the AS card.

    • I've gotten some intriguing targeted spend offers lately on the Barclays HA card, but, no, not really. I'll be canceling it when the annual fee comes up.

  • I received this email today but the terms of the Hawaiian card has for weeks said it earns 3x on Alaska Airlines purchases
