Blispay is a mixture between a credit card that earns 2% cash back on all purchases and a store card that offers special financing on all purchases above $199. They have raised $12.75m in seed funding.
Blispay is a physical credit card, the credit card runs on the Visa payment network so you can make purchases with it at any merchant as long a they accept Visa. Blispay issues a digital card for use following being approved for the card that can be used at participating merchants, or online stores. Let’s jump into the two main selling points on this card: the rewards program & the special financing.
Contents
Rewards Program
- 2% cash back on all purchases
- 2% cash back is applied as statement credit to your statement balance each month
- There is no cap on the amount of rewards you can earn
- There is no minimum redemption requirement
I love the fact that the statement credit is automatically applied and there is no minimum redemption requirement. I think it makes this card much better than other cards in this space (e.g Citi Double Cash & Fidelity Visa).
Interest Free Financing
- All purchases over $199 will qualify for interest free financing for six months
- If you pay in full before the six months, you pay no interest. If you don’t then you’ll pay 19.99% from the posting date (e.g you don’t get the first six months free)
- There is a minimum interest charge of $2

Credit Limits
Here are some data points on the credit limits people have been receiving, share yours in the comments with as much detail as possible.
Credit Limit Increases
Currently it’s not possible to request or receive a credit limit increase but Blispay plan to add this functionality sometime in the future.
Our Verdict
If you have any questions, they are probably answered in the comprehensive FAQ found here. How useful this card will really depend on what sort of credit limits you receive, imagine being able to purchase a cash equivalent and not pay interest for six months and receive 2% cash back for doing so? That sounds too good to be true, meaning even if it does have high credit limits I doubt it will last long.

Looks like it’s dead. You go to the website and it only has fields to log in.
IMPORTANT NOTICE Blispay seems to have run out of funds and has suspended future purchases for all card owners according to the myfico forum. https://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Cards/Blispay-Suspending-future-purchases/td-p/5413514
It is unclear if this issue is still ongoing.
How about using Blispay through Plastiq to finance your rent?
I applied online just now. My EX score is over 800 with over 20 years of credit history with no late payments. They denied my application:
Thank you for applying for the Blispay Visa card. Unfortunately we are not able to approve your application at this time. You will receive more detailed information about our decision in the mail.
I just reapplied again and denied and I will never reapply again.
That’s messed up… Was it because of Identity questions?
Harry: Yes. I called and the rep said it was because of the identity questions and that I can apply again in 2 months. I haven’t applied again.
WATCH OUT
A $250.00 Promotional due 1/10/2018 was paid before two due December 2017.
Only way to get any answers is verbally by phone even though they have my email.
I have had the card about 1-1/2 years and never before have payments been applied like this.
STAY AWAY
I have 18 months of Credit history with a 736 FICO, apparently it is considered an “Insufficient Credit History” by First Electronic Bank to approve me for the Blispay credit card or so it states according to the non-approval letter I got in the mail today.
For those with shorter credit histories, save yourself the credit report hard pull.
Are there any other cards or services that always offer 0% interest for 6 month?
This card wins the award for the most useless customer service in the business. If it wasn’t for the 6 month 0% interest and the 2% cash back I would not think twice about cutting it up and throwing it in the garbage.
I was instantly approved for a limit of $7500 on 9/24/17. Today I tried to make a purchase on GC.com nd the card as declined. I called Blispay, the security department tried to fix it and we retried it 3 times. Never went through. Then the agent told me that some merchants are blocked and i just will not be allowed to make a purchase from GC.com. Rediculous! This is the only reason I signed up for this card.
Thanks, good to know. I was looking for a 3rd 2% card for diversification, and this one isn’t it.
FICO Score 8 – 636, FICO Bankcard Score 8 – 624, FICO bankcard Score 2 – 600 didn’t get it. So not for those in at least the low fair range.
