Buy this in eBay for $155 and get $249.99 back from Bose. Once the seller ships the item get the serial no and send the item to Bose and win-win.

It looks like it goes off the Serial # so it'll likely be based on what they paid for them if Bose tied the two pieces of information together

Just depends on what proof they are looking for. Do they require purchase receipt from third party? On the website it just looked like serial number was needed.
