Pasadena store only allows physical debit with ID or cash when buying gift cards...

@guest_1794560 @guest_1794568 YMMV at Pasadena. I've used credit cards and even Stater Bros gift cards to buy GCs there with (almost) no issues. I have had a couple of cashiers tell me that it's debit or cash, in which case I have used VGCs/MCGCs with PIN, and never had my ID checked.
I have never heard any mention of a debit/cash policy at the Azusa and Glendora stores, but, to be fair, I've only bought GCs there a couple of times.
If you want to try again, pick a young (male) cashier, who is likely part-time and doesn't care, and avoid the older (female) cashiers, who are career cashiers and enforce all the rules. May the odds be ever in your favor!
Is that city of Azusa or Staters on Azusa Ave in West Covina? Going to try west co for this deal.

thanks, no issue last time using credit card, but today, for $50 amazon, this cashier told me physical debit+ID or cash, so couldn't even try my vgc...
In December, I bought multiple gcs with the last offer they did with my cc at the Claremont store.
Some data points-
First you may want to change the title of this, it's $10 off TOTAL. When i read it i thought it was $10 in free groceries and $10 off. It isnt $10 in free groceries and $10 off the gift cards. It is $10 off in free groceries if you have at least $10 in groceries to subtract/deduct. So its $50 or more in gift card + $10 in groceries gets you $10 off total.
1.There is a physical coupon that needs to be scanned that is in the in store ad.
2.The $10 comes off the total groceries and anything beyond that is charged.
3. I was able to get the discount on a retailer that was not specifically listed.
If you value the $10 off as 1 to 1 and maximize the amounts, thats a 20% discount, with a solid cash back card you could go up to another 10%. Thats excellent for some of these normally no discounted retailers imo.

@guest_1794678 This promo is for ALL gift cards. It's in the fine print. Amazon, Apple, Best Buy -- whatever you like. State Bros is overpriced, but if you can find something you want and it's on sale, this could be a good deal.

Does this mean you need to buy $50 in one of these gift cards and groceries in the same purchase and you will receive $10 off the groceries and $10 off the gift card? So spend at least $60 and get $20 off?
