Cardless Removes One Card Per Lifetime Rule, New Rules In Place

Card issuer cardless has always had a rule where you can only get one credit card from them per lifetime. It’s now possible to open a second Cardless card as long as the following rules are met:

  • The application must be 60 days after your most recent card approval.
  • The application must be 45 days after a recent card decline.
  • You can only have one card per brand.
  • You cannot already have the same card

Because of this change it might be worth considering some other bonuses you’ve passed over, such as:

    • I applied for and got the Avianca card from Cardless last week (8/11/25) and they pulled Experian.

  • Curious if anyone knows whether the "one card per brand" rule is for life? Or just at a time? I have the premium avianca card but will soon be canceling it as I am almost at end of 1st year and will not pay the AF. Wanting to get the lower tier Avianca card soon.

  • A bit of a leap in logic, but this means that churners are GOOD for business. 😎

  • they've been so resistant because they didn't want to have to change their name to Cardmore

    • Agreed, their Qatar and Avainca cards are actually very solid cards for SUB.
