Our Verdict
Last big bonus we saw was 140k + free night certificate, and we’ve also seen 150k points + $50 statement credit and annual fee waived. Often we see an extra $50 when doing a dummy booking, some might want to wait a week or two to see if that extra $50 does become available or also to see if the public 175k offer becomes available via referral link. We’ve added this to our list of the best credit card bonuses.
Do you lose IHG points if you cancel the card? I am about to cancel this card but still haven’t used the points.

Not really worth considering, basically a maximum of 160k pts and more restrictive than a pure pts offer
exactly. Holiday Inn Express in my area is 23k a night. points go much farther.
Yea I see now. I just got kind of excited thinking of comparing it to the 5x marriott FN offer. But yea this is way worse considering with points IHG gives 4th night free anyway.
How long does it take for the bonus points to show up on IHG side?. I completed spend and statement also mentioned earned bonus. It is been about 7 days and i only saw the regular earn points come thru.

Consider yourself lucky. Its a crappy offer since IHG devalued 100% last year. Wait until the offer is 280k points plus no annual fee first year plus 80k point free night certificate to give you the same buying power as before the devaluation
By the time we see a 280k offer they would have devalued their program by another 200%. So it’s never gonna be a better time.

The devaluation sucked but 175k points is still pretty impressive if you value it at 0.5 cent/pt.
