Update 1/7/24: We now have many reports on applying via 75k referral link and getting a 90k match. (Just a word of caution – if it takes you a week or two to get approved, and the public link is already dead, it might be more difficult to get a match.)
Update 1/4/24: Newly generated referrals links are now showing the lower 75k offer. That would point to the 90k offer being pulled on the public platforms soon as well. We are seeing email 90k offers showing an end date of at least January 9th, so the public links will likely last at least that long. Chase affiliates have been told the offer is ending on January 18th at 9am EST. (Note: previously generated referral link still show 90k. DEAD) It still should be possible to apply via referral link and then message Chase and ask for a match. YMMV
Update 10/2/23: Update referral links are now showing these offers. At this stage we will not be creating a post to share your referrals. Please do not share them in the comments below.
Update 9/21/23: This offer is back now as a publicly available offer. Not (yet) available via referral links, though it’ll likely work to apply via referral link and then Secure Message them to get matched to the public offer.
The Offer

- Chase is now offering 90,000 points/$900 cash back after $6,000 in spend within the first 3 months of account opening
Our Verdict
Previously this was available in branch only, now available online now. These are great offers with a relatively low spend requirement for a business card offer. We will add these to our list of the best credit card bonuses. You can match to these offers, more information here.
Update History:
Can the 1099-misc received as referral bonus be reported on schedule c?
General FYI for Chase Ink, working towards the 75k bonus on my CIU, had my paltry $3k limit nearly maxed out, made a payment to free up space to put another large purchase on it on 3/18, but my available credit hasn’t updated yet. Called Chase and was told my payment had a hold on it, because it’s a new account(<120 days) and the large amount($2500). Tried asking for a CL increase after confirming it was not a hard hit but was denied. Payment dept couldn’t do anything to expedite. I didn’t ask about shuffling around credit from other ink cards because I didn’t want to mess up my 0% promo APR.
Just plan ahead if you find yourself in this situation, a large payment might take a week or so to be reflected in your credit line. Thankfully my SUB deadline isn’t for 4 more weeks, but if it was next week I could have had a big problem.
When has someone last used / earned from a referral link? When someone clicks through my link it says “The offer you are attempting to access is no longer available, you will be redirected to the most current offer”
The page still says “Be sure to apply through this page and the person that referred you can get a bonus once you get the card.”
Will I get a bonus if someone applies through my link?
It looks like the Referral page is no longer creating links, so just trying to be sure I will still get credit.
I’ve seen people say that you’ll still get the bonus even when that redirection message appears. You can try creating a new link again though; the referral-generating page might’ve just been temporarily broken when you tried it.
Worth applying for 75k offer, or wait for 90k?
Which favor CC are you eyeing?

Sent a SM for P1 + P2 this week and got the match next day. It’s visible in the UR CC account as 5k 3x pending. A hassle to have to request since they abruptly lowered the bonus from 90k down to 75k at beginning of the year but worth the 5mins. Got all the UR as expected. Cha-ching!
Thanks for the update on confirming the Chase SM CSR follow up to grant the bonus 15K UR points after meeting the $6K min spend. I have to do the same when I meet the $6K min spend.
When did you get approved for the cards? In March?
I am trying to determine which of my cards count towards the 5/24 rule. If a business card is not showing up on a personal credit report, does it still count towards the 5/24 rule?
No, it won’t. This is one reason why the Chase Ink cards are popular. favo
Great to know! I checked my personal credit report, Chase Ink did not show up, US bank business card did not either, but Capital One business card did. I just googled and it seems BOA, Amex and PNC wouldn’t show up as well.
Cap One is a PITA which is why I don’t deal with them anymore.
How are people getting multiple CIU and CIC cards? Is this all on the same SSN or using different business EINs?
Am I apple to open multiple copies of a CIU and CIC on my same SSN? Also is there a wait period in between to get the bonus for the same card?
People are spacing out the applications between months and using a combination of SSN and EIN. What is your desired plan? I wouldn’t be trying to apply for 2 CIC or 2 CIU cards with the same SSN back to back if that is what you are asking. I mean if you tried doing 1 CIC and 1 CIU that might work.
Depends on how soon you need the UR points. Seen people successfully get approved for CIC + CIU using same SSN without ‘pending review’ in a month, ymmv. Don’t recommend it unless you have an iron stomach. I haven’t yet had any problems with the +90 days wait period between apps as others have suggested. Is P2 available as an option for you?
DP: I was able to apply after this offer expired, and then request the 15,000 points being added on. I provided a screenshot of the offer I found online showing 90,000. They said to contact them after I meet the spend and they will honor the 90,000 point offer. I did so, and just got a response that they are adding the 15,000 additional points.
can you please share where you got that screenshot? I’ma try it even though probably won’t work lol
I just googled it and chose to view images only and picked one that came up. If I still had it I would post for you, but it should be easy to find one that shows the offer.
When determining whether to approve a new Chase business credit card, does Chase only look at how much credit limit I already have on my existing Chase business cards, or the cumulative credit limit on all my credit cards (from both Chase and other credit card issuers, both business and personal credit cards)?
Last time my application went to manual review and was denied initially getting the message “too much credit extended”, I called the reconsideration line and they were able to allocate some credit from my old Chase card to the new application and approved me. I wonder if it would help the future application if I close a couple of my old Chase cards or credit cards from other issuers.
Chase looks at both your existing business and personal credit limits when deciding to extend new credit. Good rule of thumb is that Chase will extend about 50% of your annual income in credit total that includes both your business and personal credit limits. We have all done this and shifting credit is the easiest way to get approved.
So make sure you update your annual income limits to reflect your latest situation. In reality most of my Chase cards I have no use of some extremely high limit on credit cards and just call them to reduce it so that I can get approved. Also I would prioritize lowering business credit over personal credit since business credit is not reported on your credit report. If you have some Chase cards that you no longer us, I would just close them.
Thanks for the tips, Eric ! I was thinking of closing a Chase Business Card that I do not use often but read some comments saying that closing a new card might create red flags (this card is 11 months old). But I can close another Business Card that is years old, I just need to change the autopayments from that one to the newer card. Is there a rule-of-thrumb on how long I should wait to apply for a new Chase business card after closing an old one?
I also have a personal Chase card that I do not use much. It sounds like I should probably keep it for the credit score reason but I do not need that high credit limit on it. I know Chase allows for transferring credit limit from one business card to another, do they allows for transferring credit limit from a personal credit card to a business credit card?
By the way, would it make a difference for the approval of whether I pay off the balance on my existing Chase business card? Currently, I am carrying a big balance on a Chase business card as it is in the 0 APY promotion period, but if the balance makes it difficult to get approved for a new card, I can pay it off before the application.
At this point you already got approved on the latest Ink card that you applied for. But if you did not, I would have just reduce the 11 month business card down to say 1K credit if I was going to close it down in 1 or 2 more months and put the majority of the existing business credit to your new business card.
I would be calculating your Chase available credit between your personal and business cards. If you are not even in danger of hitting the 50% threshold then why worry about. Its not something that you have to constantly worry about and you should be able to do just do the simple math and find out before you apply for any Chase card if you should pre-reduce your credit lines before applying so you can avoid calling the reconsideration line.
Thanks Eric! My last Ink application was declined at first, then I called the reconsideration line and they were able to reduce 5k credit limit from my existing Ink card to approve the new one.
I just looked at the total credit limit between my personal Chase cards and business Ink cards, it appears it already exceeded the 50% threshold. So I think it would be beneficial to close my old Ink and reduce the credit limit on the 11-month card before applying. I also have a personal card that I no longer use much but it has a high credit limit, I should probably reduce the credit limit on that one. If they can transfer the credit limit from a personal card to a business card, I can also ask them to transfer after the new Ink is approved.
By the way, would it make a difference for the approval of whether I pay off the balance on my existing Chase business card? Currently, I am carrying a big balance on a Chase business card as it is in the 0 APY promotion period, but if the balance makes it difficult to get approved for a new card, I can pay it off before the application.
Its always best to make your application as attractive as possible especially with the bank you are trying to get credit for. Even though the 0% APY is with a Chase business card which doesn’t get reported to the credit bureaus but Chase may consider that as a risk so yes if you can pay off your balance on your chase business card with a 0% APY promotion period just to get the card.
If this 0% APY promotion was at a different bank then I wouldn’t worry about it. I think you are looking for exact 100% bullet proof methods to guarantee approval and there is just no way to do so. Personally I don’t take advantage of any of those 0% APY promotions since its just additional stress I have to deal with later on.
Great advice. Thanks Eric!
Some relish in the 0% promo rates, see it as an additional upside vs. stress. Well worth the play and depends on one’s prudence, tolerance, financial strategy and experience on how to leverage such opportunity.
For me I don’t have any experience on using 0% APR promos and I don’t know how it would affect a credit report but i guess for Business cards it wouldn’t matter. I just think it just adds additional risk even people will say they will reserve this amount off to pay off the credit card bill.
But humans are flawed and as time goes on say 5 months in humans tend to forget about what they used to owe and then panic because they used up the money that they were suppose to pay their previous bill. Perfect example are student loans who got forbearance during covid or the mortgage forbearance during covid and once the forbearance period was over, people were panicking and forgot that they still owe the money and that it was not a forgiveness on the loans.
I just pay into a savings account instead of the credit card bill. Works for me. Did the same thing with my mortgage, once it was paid off I still have the money drafted out but instead of my mortgage company, goes into a savings account. For my situation, it works.
So it’s a matter of having to figure out a system that works best for your situation to make sure you have the money to pay ofd the cc bill when it comes due.
If business A referred business B to an Ink card before and received the referral bonus, can business A receive a referral bonus again by referring business B to an Ink card again?
Yes
Fantastic! Thank you!
