[Dead] Chase Ink Cash/Preferred Cards Do NOT Contain Restrictive 24 Month Language (5/24 Rule Still Applies)

Update: The final page of the application now shows this language.

Chase currently offers two Chase Ink business cards:

Normally Chase offers contain the following language:

If it’s been more than 24 months since you’ve received a sign up bonus for a card then you’re eligible for the sign up bonus again

Currently when applying through the Chase site (referral links do contain this language), these cards do not contain that language. That means if you’ve received the bonus within the last 24 months you should still be able to get the bonus on this card. Keep in mind that the other restrictive Chase rule (5/24) still applies to this card, so most people still won’t be eligible.

This is actually huge if you’re under 5/24 though, not only can you get the bonus again but as these are Chase business cards they do not count towards your 5/24 total. Keep in mind that you won’t be approved for the card if you already hold it and it’s usually a good idea to wait between closing and opening a new account. I’d also recommend double checking to ensure this language hasn’t been added before applying.

  • I noticed on Andrew's screen shot that it says that you cannot use this card for personal expenses. Is that true? I wanted to use this for a trip. How would they know whether its family or business?

  • Looks like this post is not true. If you actually do an app for the CIP, on the final screen it lists a number of certifications you must complete. Among them is the following:

"I understand that any new cardmember bonus offers for this product are not available to either current or previous cardmembers of this product who received a new cardmember bonus for this product in the last 24 months."

In this instance, cardmember is clearly the individual, not the business.

  • My referral link doesn't contain the 24 month language. I clicked a couple of links via ranked and they also don't have the 24 mo language on them. Unless I'm blind, might want to update

  • Data Point: Chase will approve you for more than one CIP as long as they are for different businesses. 1 CIP Approval in February and 1 approval in May for CIP for a different business w/ different EIN.

    • It does not count towards your 5/24 total. The rule still applies to the card though.

  • That's great! BUT, a word of reminder for all (like me) that are expecting their referrals to post sometime in the near future. If we close our Ink Preferred cards now in order to apply again for it, I think we won't get the generous bonus :/
I guess we can't get it all...although we are obligated to try!
