- Tap and pay 3 times with Chase Pay linked to Samsung Pay and earn an extra 1,500 Ultimate Rewards points.
The Fine Print
- This offer is valid from 03/01/2019 through 03/31/2019.
- To qualify for this offer, you must make 3 transactions using your consumer Chase card with Chase Pay linked to Samsung Pay during checkout.
- Purchases are when you, or an authorized user, use a card to make purchases of products and services, minus returns or refunds.
- Please allow up to 8 weeks after the qualifying purchase(s) post(s) to your account for the bonus points to post to your credit card account.
- To receive the bonus points, your account must be open and not in default at the time of fulfillment. If you change your credit card product during the promotional period you will forfeit this offer.
- Limit one offer per customer or card account.

Our Verdict
This is being sent out on Sapphire and Freedom variety cards. I haven’t gotten this yet, hopefully it’s just a slow roll out.
If anyone finds a public link, please let us know. It may be a public offer, in which case we’ll have to figure out which cards it’s available on.

So do we tap with Chase pay app, or Samsung pay app, to pay 3 times? Or does it not matter?
You have to log in to CP first and then link the card(s) to SP which you use at checkout. That’s what I did to get the bonus on two cards. I had the CFs linked to SP but since I wasn’t sure that worked, I logged in to SP first so it’ll post as transaction under CP linked to SP.
Does this count for online payments as well. I just made a purchase to try and combine this with the TopCashback $5 promo as well as the Chase Pay 1500 pt bonus.
I forgot that you won’t get your bonus from TC if you go through something like Chase Pay, PayPal, etc and so I had to reorder. Used the BoA Cash Rewards instead.

hmm… I see that the promo email was sent to my CF #1. But does that mean I can only get it if I use that specific card or can I use my CFU?
I would be great if it’s one offer per card account seeing that I have 2 CFs and 1 CFU….
Not sure if you confirmed, but didn’t work for me on more than one card. I have 3 CF cards and the only one that worked is the one that was targeted in the email, so seems that this promo is both targeted and they are also enforcing the 1 offer per customer account rule.
Thanks for the DP. I’ve got gift cards 3 times via Samsung pay since there’s been discount recently and the points are pending under the third transaction. I noticed the two promotional emails both targeted the same card so I didn’t bother trying the other card.
I received the email and it does indicated that it is only valid for the recipient of the email
I didn’t get the email, tried 3 purchases using CF anyways, got nothing as of 2 weeks later (3rd purchase 3/12).
Sounds like targeting is required.
So if I don’t have a Samsung phone and the offer is through Chase Pay, could I set up a Samsung Pay account, link it to CHase Pay, and pay for it using Chase Pay on my iphone?
This is a targeted offer, so even if you have CPay and SPay but did not receive the offer via email, you’ll not receive the 1500 UR.
This is the only reason I’m not uninstalling Samsung Pay.

I don’t see a minimum spend amount listed. I plan to just make 3 $1 purchases at the gas pump at my Shell station. Any reason this wouldn’t work?

Do you still use the Chase Pay app to pay for gas at Shell. How do we know if the payment was processed through Samsung Pay or Chase Pay?

How to do this? I do not see any option in either app.
Do you have NFC? In chase pay, you go to the card details in the wallet and say “Add card” next to “Not in Samsung Pay”
