The Offer

Direct Link to offer

  • Use Chase Pay at 76 Gas stations and get a $.15 instant discount at the pump on up to 30 gallons.

The Fine Print

  • Expires March 31st, 2020
  • Discount limited to 30 gallons per fill-up
  • Offer does not apply to Tap and Pay transactions

Our Verdict

Until June they had a deal for a 10¢ discount on up to 20 gallons, discount is now bigger and also a bigger maximum allowed. You can also earn another 5% back when using the Chase Freedom for Q3.  It’ll only work at 76 Gas locations, not at partner Conoco and Phillips locations.

    • Interesting. The apps you would have to use don't say anything about chase pay:

      > Get 15¢* off per gallon
      > when you pay with the My 76® App.
      > The My 76® App is simple, safe and fast. And for a limited time, you can get
      > 15¢* off per gallon when you pay with the app. Download today, setup your
      > mobile wallet, and spend less to get where you’re going.

      > *Offer good through 3/31/2020. Get 15 cents off per gallon (up to 30 gallons)
      > per fill-up at participating 76® locations. Select payment methods apply.
      > Additional restrictions may apply.

It is only "Select payment methods apply". I haven't found any details if it is only chase pay, or also google/apple/samsung/whatever pay.

    • The mail I received on Monday states: "Terms and Conditions for Chase Pay® Savings Get 15 cents off per gallon (up to 30 gallons) per fill up at participating Phillips 66®, 76® and Conoco® locations when you pay for your gas using the Chase Pay app. This offer cannot be combined with any other offer, discounts or coupons and does not apply to Tap and Pay transactions. Offer good through 03/31/2020."

  • Right now all three brands (Conoco, Philips 66, and 76) are offering the same discount via their branded app and Chase Pay as payment method. The discount may apply to the other payment methods within the app, but since I don’t not have one of their gas cards, can only verify that Chase Pay works.
There are limits to how many times the card can be used in a day, and Chase Pay will send fraud alerts.

  • Not as good as the Amex 10% discount at Exxon/Mobile stations, which saves around 28 cents per gallon, and also don't have to start messing around with apps.

    • Depends on what the base price, 10% discount is great but if it's 15% more expensive it's useless

      • I don't disagree; in my area the only stations that are way more expensive than everyone else are the Shell stations.

  • What is the limit of 30 gallons per fill up? If more then 30 gallons 2 transactions will work?

  • The $.15 discount also stacks with a car wash discount if you have a 76 with a car wash.

  • Yeah I have noticed this 15 cent discount t for the entire month at my.Phillips 66. Could be good there too or just ymmv?
