Update 8/9/20: Showing on the main Chase website again.
Update: Referral links for this card are still showing and this application page still works. It still doesn’t show on the main Chase credit card site, but that is somewhat common so marking this as a false alarm.
Chase recently removed the Chase Slate card from the website, in addition we’ve seen a new business credit card application page launched, tightening on approvals of business credit cards and also requiring users to log in before they can apply for business cards. It seems that the Chase Southwest Business Premier card is currently no longer accepting applications at all. I believe this card was pulled on either Saturday or Sunday.
Hat tip to reader Cristi
I just got an email from Chase for Refer a Friend. It says “They can earn 40,000 points with any Southwest Rapid Rewards personal Credit Card and business owners can earn 60,000 points with the Premier Business Credit Card or earn up to 100,000 points with the Performance Business Credit Card.”
I suspected this was coming as long as Chase never tightened the bonus offer language to restrict both SWA biz card bonuses in a similar time frame
It’s interesting that they removed the legacy lower-priced Southwest Premier Business card from their website, but the relatively new (and more expensive AF) Southwest Performance Business card is still showing as one of the 5 business cards on their website.
No worries! Give them a few months and they will announce (through TPG) a new Chase Sapphire Reserve Unlimited Business card to make up for the lack of card applications…
I for one would welcome that card (sans the TPG announcement)
I applied for the SW Premier Business just now, SP, startup, app went pending which is not a surprise.
I’m guessing if the card was pulled the application would have either errored out or came up declined.
Should have went for the companion pass earlier this year. Then again, there is the COVID pandemic to worry about
The SW business Premier card still shows up in referral links.
Reflection of JPMCs outlook on small to midsize sized business. No one is throwing around the too big to fail phrase much but I think there’s a general sense that small to mid size businesses will be hit hardest and longest. Mitigating exposure to that part of the market makes sense. Too bad for those of us with real side gig 1099 small biz or whose main gig W2 wage is supporting small to mids.
