Chase Ritz-Carlton Card: $25 Back with Apple Pay Usage

The Offer

Direct Link

  • Get a $25 statement credit when you  tap-and-pay with Apple Pay five times using your Chase Ritz-Carlton credit card

The Fine Print

  • Valid May 15 through June 15, 2017
  • Purchases are when you, or an authorized user, use a card to make purchases of products and services, minus returns or refunds
  • Please allow up to 8 weeks after the qualifying purchase(s) post(s) to your account for the statement credit to post to your account
  • If you change your credit card product during the promotional period you will forfeit this offer
  • Limit one statement credit per customer or card account

Our Verdict

Easiest way to meet the five transaction requirement is to do five small transactions at a self-checkout or at the gas pump.

There’s a similar offer on the Chase Marriott card. Also a similar offer for the Freedom cards, but the Ritz and Marriott offers are different than the Freedom offer in a bunch of ways:

  • The Ritz offer is $25 vs. just $15 for the Freedom offer
  • The Ritz offer does not mention any user limit while the Freedom offer is limited to the first 24,000 users
  • The Ritz offer is for Apple Pay while the Freedom offer is for Android Pay
  • The Ritz offer has a public landing page while the Freedom does not; it appears that everyone can get the Freedom offer, anyway, by adding their card to the mobile wallet
  • The Ritz offer can be used anywhere while the Freedom offer is for the grocery only

did 5 apple pay purchases last week, 4 days after the 5th purchase posted I received the $25 credit. my 5 purchases totaled about $8. Also, In app apple pay purchases do count as 1 of my 5 was done in app ( a $2 load to a dd gift card in their app)

Gary, how long did it take after your 5th purchase posted before you saw the $25 credit?

“tap-and-pay with Apple Pay” I would say just use it in person to be safe.

I didn’t see that tap and pay words in the landing page. Maybe I missed something?

Almost missed this one since the title originally says Andriod pay. and this appears no need to be grocery purchases. Easy 25 bucks.

Do you have to sign up for this? I see no activation link on the official page.
