Our Verdict

Previous best was 80k + 5k. Most people won’t be eligible due to the 5/24 rule. We will add this to our list of the best credit card bonuses.

  • I received my 80,000 miles today. No 5,000 bonus for agent code. Since I got my agent code from someone in this thread, I will just wait and see if the 5,000 posts later. If not, I am content with the 80,000.

  • I got my 5K miles from using agent code and was credited to my account within 2 weeks of opening if anyone is curious how long it can take. I basically did a quick live chat with an agent and asked them to refer me for the credit card and they sent over a personalized link.

  • From Chase:

    In regards to the additional 5,000 bonus miles for using a
    promotional code on each account, please allow United to
    add the miles within six to eight weeks. If you do not
    receive the bonus miles after the time frame provided,
    please provide the promotional code and booking ID on each
    account for the flights on which you were given the
    promotional offers. We will need this information in order
    to escalate this to United.

  • As below comments say, I do not get the extra 5K agent code miles. I only got 80K. I sent a secure message to Chase and they escalated this to the United saying that adding miles are all directly from United not from Chase. Let's wait and see.

    Statement closed and got 80k + 5k which I believe is from authorized user, but nothing from the agent code.

  • Just to add a late DP: Applied for the UA Explorer with the 80k link in the other thread on June 20. Got stuck in fraud jail for a little bit but was approved July 01 and the 80k tracker showed up on my account today. I added an in-flight code for the extra 5k but haven't seen anything about that yet; looks like that'll be 6-8w.

    few days ago i hit the target and today my tracker reflected it too, but not seeing the extra 5k? is this an issue with the code?

  • got approved with 80k offer link yesterday for P2 however i dont see tracker yet in app. is there any menu i need to check to see tracker.
