Hyatt has announced that China Southern has become a new airline partner. Unfortunately the new partnership is more or less dead on arrival, as the benefits are as follows:
- Earn 800 kilometers of Sky Pearl Club mileage after completing a qualifying stay at a Hyatt hotel
- Convert every 5,000 World of Hyatt points into 2,000 Sky Pearl Club kilometers
I’m not really sure why Hyatt and other chains bother with these types of partnerships when the earning and conversion rates are so poor, I guess it’s worth doing otherwise they wouldn’t do it but it does strike me as a waste of resources.
