• Citi are offering a 25% transfer bonus when you transfer your Citi ThankYou points to Avianca LifeMiles program. Normally you can transfer 1,000 Citi ThankYou points and receive 1,000 Lifemiles and with this transfer bonus that changes to 1,250 LifeMiles.

Our Verdict

This is the first time we’ve seen Citi offer a transfer bonus to Avianca. American Express recently added Avianca as a transfer partner so this is likely in response to that addition. Will be interesting to see if American Express also launches a transfer bonus to compete with Citi here. Keep in mind it’s often possible to purchase Avianca miles at a deep discount so if you highly value your Citi points that might be a better option (or this could be used to top up for awards).
