[Expired] Citi ThankYou Premier 60,000 Points Bonus – AF Waived First Year [Still Working]

Looks like this offer has finally expired. You can view the best current credit card bonuses by clicking here.

Update 10/17/18: Some readers were reporting that this link is no longer working. If you open it in incognito mode it should still show the 60,000 offer. Given that the official website is now showing a 50,000 point bonus and non incognito mode offers are no longer working I suspect this 60,000 link will die soon. You’ve now had a lot of warning about this link going away, so sign up if you’re interested.

Update 10/12/18: Deal is still live and working, looks like it was only for affiliate links for now.

Update 10/06/18: Some outlets with affiliate links are reporting that this offer is due to end on October 11th. There is still no end date listed on the application page and what often ends up happening is that the affiliate links are pulled but the offer remains. Still think it’s worth mentioning as sometimes the offer is pulled entirely either on that exact date or within a few days/weeks.

Update 7/23/18 5:40pm ET: There’s now a new working link. (HT: u/plenypoints on r/churning)

Update 7/23/18 2:53pm ET: Link seems to be dead now.

Our Verdict

This bonus is as high as we’ve seen before, occasionally we get a 50,000 point offer but this 60,000 point offer is even more rare. What we really need to decide is if you want this card and bonus or the Citi Prestige (sometimes comes with a 75,000 point bonus but not currently available). We’ve compared these two cards and offers before, but only when the Premier bonus was 50,000 points so this offer obviously makes it sway into the Premier’s favor. As always make sure you read these things everybody should know about Citi credit cards before applying. We’ll add this to our list of the best credit card sign up bonuses.

If you recently signed up for this credit card, remember Citi usually matches to the higher bonus if you applied within the last 90 days. To get a match send a secured message in asking for one (calling does not work for whatever reason).

I applied on wednesday, the 17th using the link in incognito mode, was approved yesterday, and I just received a mailer today for 60k with 3k spend, anyone know if it is possible to SM Citi and get the lower min spend requirement?

You can always ask, but I would not held my hopes high. Citi easily adjusts bonus by just giving extra points, but usually no other adjustments are possible (i.e. credit for certain purchases, etc..)

Even when they honor the higher bonus they do not change the offer. I.e. they do not ask you to spend more, they just give you points/miles. With lower spend they would have to adjust the offer, their system will not post the bonus unless you spend what is required…

Not going to hurt to ask, but I would (even if promised that it will be done) left myself plenty of time to spend the extra $1K required to not miss on the bonus completely.

Good luck, and let us know what you find out.

Cool. Applied yesterday, went pending 7-10 days, approved this morning for my “Citi ThankYouŽ Premier Card” (per email) 😉

If I downgraded to a TY Preferred card a few months back, is it considered ‘open’ which would make me ineligible OR am I good to apply?! TIA!

I got an email notifying me of approval. I applied a couple of days ago through the incognito link and was told then it would be 7-10 days before I got an answer.

Just called recon at 800-695-5171. They’re able to see that I’ve made an application but can’t see which card I applied for. She recommended that I call back tomorrow.

This is happening to everyone who applies now who doesn’t get automatically approved. When the Hilton card did this last year, my wife got in on a link like this, and eventually they said the application would be canceled as they don’t have the card anymore. Then 3 weeks later, she got an approval email and the card came in the mail. So who knows. Citi being Citi.

‘We are unable to process your application at this time’ for a while, even in incognito mode. Checked at the end of the night (=3am EST) and it popped up, even without incognito. Screen shot and submitted. 60k points for $4k spend and AF waived (listed in terms) using DoCs ‘direct link’.

Shit… I just applied for the public 50k offer but got the following:

Unfortunately, we were not able to approve your application.

You will receive written notification with details regarding our decision in approximately 7-10 days.

EDIT: Weird… no hard pull for both apps
