I wouldn’t interpret this as any kind of forward looking guarantee. It looks more like a pronouncement that they are not “presently” officially looking at this.

In the meantime creepy Joe is letting 25k illegals walk in without testing or all the BS we legal inmigrants have to be subject to.

Unfortunately, that seems to the case. Just keep the doors open and let illegals walk in.

Right, let’s get the numbers up for democrats because that’s how the illegals will vote, but Joe doesn’t really care about covid. The joke’s on us!

covid testing for flights is pointless and stupid. you can literally catch it at any point. too expensive and takes too much time and death rate is just 5% nationwide.

Most of what you’ve said is untrue, and you’ve already said the same thing on another thread:

Would you want to catch something with a 5% death rate? I’d love those odds for the lottery.

Unfortunately, this thing isn’t real for so many people until someone close to them dies

It’s nowhere near a 5% death rate. Current CDC estimates put it at around 0.3% chance of death if contracted. I’m guessing you’re confusing CFR (case fatality rate) with IFR( infection fatality rate.) The sickest are most likely to get tested and therefore the most likely to die. So, CFR is not the metric to use when looking at chance of death.

Still though a 0.3% chance lottery is pretty good. I’d love those odds. So be careful out there.

Is cancer, heart diseases, strokes not real until someone dies of it? Still and always the leading causes of death in humans.

The leading cause of death right now is ignorance. Everything else is a side effect of that.

You definitely seem like you’re looking for one, but this post is so dated that it’s barely worth discussing anymore.

Thank goodness! If you don’t have symptoms and want a test in my area of CA you *still* have to get a doctor to approve it as medically necessary despite the local county advertising that anyone can get tested. This would have been a mess of a requirement for me.

“Psaki spoke after the chief executives of major U.S. airlines, including American Airlines, Southwest Airlines and United Airlines, met virtually with White House COVID-19 response coordinator Jeff Zients.”

Of course, they did. Someone has to save airlines from themselves.

Right, they got pressure from airlines, so tabled it for now.

Too bad. Should have negative tests required before boarding all domestic flights, and 14-day self-quarantine required afterwards. So much for “We are in a national emergency, it’s time we start acting like it.”

COVID-19 is widespread and we would need a lot of testing capability spun up to do this. This would have been useful early in the pandemic if testing capability was available. Now it’s just like building a dam in the middle of a large lake.

Why? Positive covid test isn’t worth anything without a followup and clinical manifestations per the cdc anyway
