Credit One To Launch WWE Credit Card (WWE Champion Credit Card)

Credit One has announced the launch of the WWE Champion Credit Card. The card comes with the following:

  • $49 annual fee
  • Card earns at the following rates:
    • 3% cash back rewards on eligible internet, cable, satellite TV, and mobile phone services
    • 2% cash back rewards on eligible dining purchases
    • 1% cash back rewards on all other purchases
  • WWE Merchandise discounts (not specified)
  • Access to promotions for WWE Credit Card members
  • Three card designs to choose from (pictured below)
  • Up to 10% cash back from participating merchants through ‘More Rewards Program’

I guess this is slightly better than the WWE Superstar card that comes with a $99 annual fee and worse earning rate that is targeted towards those rebuilding their credit. Obviously neither card is worth applying for with no sign up bonus and relatively poor earning rates. I’m a bit surprised that the card designs aren’t better.

  • An annual fee on a generic 3/2/1 card? With no sign up bonus? lol this is probably the worst card I've ever seen

    • Yeah, but you've forgot the most important perk - you get the WWE logo on the front!

  • If you wanted the WWE logo on a credit card, couldn't you just do it yourself? WF does it for free.

    • Considering some of the things Ultimate Warrior has said often and publicly about sexual orientation and other issues, probably very hard. The WWE likely wouldn't have a problem putting his image on a card (they seemingly haven't had any misgivings thus far with using his name and likeness for various things), but Credit One probably wouldn't want that specific association to Ultimate Warrior... especially announcing it during Pride Month.

And considering some of the replies I might get soon for even saying this, you can understand why Credit One might not want any part of Ultimate Warrior, lol.

  • Such a weird card. I was expecting to see WWE-specific rewards, like 10% discounts on "WWE Live!" event tickets or exclusive meet and greet opportunities (especially with the annual fee). Except for the unspecified "WWE Merchandise Discounts" and unspecified "Access to promotions...", this could be any random (and bad) credit card.

And yeah. Why are the designs so bad? It wouldn't make the actual card benefits/rewards any better, but this is such a missed opportunity to have different *title-belt designs on the front of the credit cards. It's the "WWE Champion Credit Card", but with no championship images to be found anywhere on the card? Weird.

*The WWE hates it when you refer to their "championships" as title-belts, lol.

      • Or maybe the “Greatest Royal Rumble Championship” of credit cards. Remember that? No? Me neither (had to Google to find the name). Completely disregarded and forgotten almost immediately after it was created.
