The Offer
- Crypto.com launched their Visa Signature card which offers up $5,000 signup bonus and 6.5% cashback (in crypto) on all purchases for the first 12 months, depending on how much CRO crypto you stake.
- See image below for all the tier offers.
Our Verdict
I don’t personally hold crypto and can’t recommend due to volatility. That said, for someone who anyway plans on holding crypto and is comfortable with staking CRO, some of these can be interesting.
For example, someone who stakes $5,000 CRO, can get the Jade card which will get them a signup bonus offer of $500 with $5,000 spend. And they’ll also get 3.5% back in crypto on all purchases for the first 12 months, and 3% thereafter.
At the high end, someone staking $500,000 in CRO can qualify for the Obsidian card and get $5,000 after spending $25,000 in the first 12 months. They’ll also get 6.5% back in crypto on purchases for the first 12 months and 5% thereafter.
Again, this is not a recommendation to hold large amounts of crypto, but I thought it interesting to see a card with such a high signup bonus and ‘cashback’ rate.
Update: a reader says that the 6.5% rate might only be on select categories and is generally unreliable.

Is staking same as depositing?
You buy tokens, let them hold onto them (locked up) for a period of time and (sometimes) receive yield for doing it.
So they have your tokens
Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy each won 5 million dollars worth of CRO for a match in December 2024. It's dropped in half since then. Brutal.
Dont do it people. Like clicking on A View From the Wing links. Dont do it.
Don't many of these staking platforms eventually rug pull or go bankrupt? Unlike with a CD, your money isn't insured.
crypto.com arena 🫣
Crypto.com’s credit card and its gotchas make Gemini’s card and its SUB look like an Amex Platinum lol
WCGW
do they pay out rewards in BTC?
Nope
That's gonna be a no from me dog
Unless you're a whale with 10 million+ in crypto assets elsewhere, holding 500k worth of crypto on crypto.com is insane lol
if you have 10 million i hope you aren't wasting your life browsing these types of websites to begin with.
Agreed, and I think even if you have $10 million it's insane.
Remember that you're giving up the rewards of staking on another platform with no spend required.
I did not even realize that the funds needed to be staked, thought it just meant it had to be held in the wallet there. Updated the post now.
Shows how much I know about crypto, lol
