Our Verdict
Update: Public resale rates already down to 78% so keep in mind the risk of it dropping further.
Public resale rates are 80%, private rates obviously higher. This means you’re breaking even before taking into account credit card rewards points or portals. Simply Best Coupons is offering 4% cash back on Overstock gift cards, other rates can be found here. If you don’t already have a Simply Best Coupons account you can use my link here. Update: Seems like you’re better off going through Topcashback as that is tracking at 5% and SBC is only tracking at 1%. GCM is notorious for cancelling orders, so goodluck! If anybody has any tips share them in the comments below.
Also just a warning that the resale rates on these cards are likely to drop, so only buy for personal use or be aware of the very real risk of reselling.

(was hoping to get more -- yet as of this morning, 8/22:
SORRY, WE ARE OUT OF INVENTORY FOR THIS PRODUCT
PLEASE CHECK BACK SOON
ps, I've been having somewhat better luck with gcm lately -- though having to keep the throttle restrained... During one call to GCM, I was advised to never, ever use Chrome when doing business with GCM. (Sure enough, two minutes later, I used the new Firefox -- and previous blocking issues vanished. Has been seamless -- for me anyway, ever since.
At the moment ABC is showing 78% public resale rate. Seems like a bunch of people got on it and they dropped the rate.
Is there a known monthly (or last 30 days) limit with GCM/Blackhawk for buying non-VGC gift cards?
Does anyone mind sharing some tips for ppl like me who've never done gift card arbitrage? For e-cards like these where the available denominations are $25-$500, what kind of amounts do most people buy (for resale purposes)? Thanks.
I wanted to try it out last night when I stumbled on this deal, figured I'd try $2-$5K, then wasn't sure how quickly I'd be able to sell them before the value dropped, I was concerned that ABC and other sites that offer fast cash payouts might have some kind of limits for new accounts.
Start slow and use a portal. GCM will likely cancel your order if you try $2-5k on you first order. Best have a plan B to get rid of your gcs if rates drop or float the cash until they go back up. Also, you have to be approved by ABC before you can sell.
For those that are frequent Reddit users and spend a lot of time there contributing and scouring for new information daily, I don't know if it's fair for you to just publicize (more like "spoon feeding") Reddit info onto your blog and Twitter/social media. A lot of "deals" have been killed faster than usual and there has been an influx of newbies asking tons of basic questions without doing any research for Reddit users to answer. Ofcourse, I'm sure the lazy couch surfers will disagree with me.
Myself and many others have been very reluctant to contribute as much on there anymore knowing it'll just appear on your blog 5 minutes later. We expect people to do their fair share and put in some legwork too.
In the same token stuff I post gets posted to reddit within minutes as well. My suggestion would be if you don't want something posted publicly then don't post it publicly. Btw I have alerts set up for the GCM promotions page (https://www.giftcardmall.com/promotions), I just credited the reddit user.
I think SimplyBest dropped to 3%
Still showing 4% for me, got a pic?
Showing 3% for me as well
Simply Best tracked at 1% instead of 3%. Topcashback tracked at 5% even thought it listed at 2%.
Added to post, thanks.
Managed to get two orders through. TCB is tracking at 5% even though site says 2%. Deal has been active for a couple days so their stock might be low. I got an error yesterday trying to buy more. Switched to VGC and it went through.
Interesting, let me know if you get 5% back.
It may be even better... I bought two of the $250 overstock cards... separate transactions, after going through tcb portal. Cost was $200 each. Two days later, via my dashboard, I now two separate pending payments for gcm of $12.50... which is what, 6.25% ?)
Fingers crossed it pays out at that rate.
Blackhawk is the worst.
This transaction was not completed. The transaction was not submitted correctly, or has been declined by your card issuer. You can try again with a different card or review your payment information for any necessary corrections.
Seriously, I tried two different cards and keep getting this response. Not sure how to proceed...
Same result trying to buy 8 $250-cards. 1 card worked just fine. Looks like there is an undocumented limit.
