Our Verdict

Previous best offer was 125,000 points + $50 statement credit without the annual fee waived. This is 25,000 less points, but you save $95 on the annual fee. This is a better offer if you value Hilton points at 0.38¢ each or less. Otherwise the old offer (not currently available) would be better. I do think we will see that offer back, so hold off if you value Hilton points highly. The added benefit of this card is the spend requirement is $2,000 less as well. What offer you prefer is really just personal preference and will depend on what your travel goals are.

Update 8/20 –

Received an email yesterday asking to call in to verify additional info. Of course since yesterday was Sunday I called in and the robo-lady said they’re only open Monday-Saturday.

So this morning I called in they told me what additional info they needed, waited a couple minutes and BOOM approved!

Just received this email from Amex:

Welcome, MickeyMouse!

We’re pleased to tell you that you’ve been approved for a Hilton Honors American Express Business Card! You can expect your Card to arrive within 2 to 3 business days.

In the meantime, get started by setting up your online business account, so you can use your Card the moment it arrives and take advantage of all the benefits of Business Card Membership.”

I do have a question hopefully someone can answer. With this card it says you’re supposed to get Instant Gold Status with Hilton, when does that happen?

I’m new to Amex all I know is basically you can’t MS with them due to their RAT and even if you think you got through and the rewards show up they may “Claw them back”. Is their any methods that still work to help meet the MSR?

Thanks and so happy to have gotten in on this offer!

Based on the redemptions I’ve checked I’d be spending 23k (lowest found redemption) for a otherwise $90 pre-tax Stay. So with the SUB I’d get roughly 3 lower tier stays and 1 lower-mid Tier Stay is that about right? Or is it better to just pay the $90 and get the 12x Points? I almost never stay at Hilton, but I do have a trip planned in October where Hyatt rates are high compared to the cash price (12k Points nightly or $150 “Member Rate”) so was planning on staying at a Hilton Garden Inn. I’d hardly be at the hotel so luxury isn’t necessary just would like a room somewhere equivalent to Holiday Inn or better.

Sorry for the long post.

Created an online account and,

“Available Credit

$3,000.00”

I thought the minimum would be 5k 🙁 The Card would have to be maxed out just to meet the SUB.

Thnk you Doc! This card was next on my to-get list, but I was going to wait another month (still have about $1k of manufactured spend for an Ink card). Got in at the last moment!

Applied and got the 14 day message, then checked my email inbox and had been instantly approved! Thanks DOC.

I set up my account and checked the ‘benefits’ section, and the Priority Pass benefit shows up as ‘Status currently unavailable.’ Tried to enroll anyways, but received an error message.

Does anyone know if the 10 priority passes are still part of this card?

Yes. Priority Pass benefit takes few days to shows up.
If you are in a hurry then chat with Amex and they will set it up for you.
I received my PP card before receiving my Amex HH card since I needed to travel on a short notice.

It still shows up as ‘Status currently unavailable.’ Anyone else having this experience?

Anyone able to qualify for the bonus on this card with a currently open personal Hilton card? Basically, it means you didn’t get the “not qualified” popup message after applying.

All eyes on August 23, The big day! SPG Luxury card with a 3 day window for people who upgraded or received Marriott card bonuses.

So let me get this straight, on August 23rd (three day window) I can get the SPG Lux card and receive the bonus even though I have received the bonus on the Marriott Biz Card in the last 24 months? I might do a happy dance if this is true.

DOC previously did a post on this, but it’s said to be possible. We obviously won’t know until the day comes.

App’d and got the 14 Day Message 🙁

Is it likely a denial or verification? Never received this message from Amex before don’t have any personal cards with them either.

Have tried 3 different dummy bookings and all three times it’s brought up the Honors 50K with $50 statement credit.

That’s because it defaults to the personal card. You need to click on the ‘Business’ tab.
