• One nice thing about this offer:

  It works on points stays, so in that case it's essentially a 1000 point rebate on your stay.

  Not huge, but better than nothing on points stays, which is the case with 2x/3x promos.

  • Well, keep in mind that Hilton is far from the only program that has gaps between promos. In fact, most hotel programs have gaps between promos.

  • The softening economy is so 3 weeks ago. :) I wouldn't expect to see many travel bargains the next 3 months. While some Americans got a bit skittish with their spending after reading all those scary tariff headlines (and seeing the value of their over-inflated tech stocks fall) things seem to have basically returned to normal now that nothing terrible has actually happened. Reports are that travel bookings have bounced back.

    • What about the fact that visits by foreigners, including from Canada, are severely down? That's apparently causing drops in tourism, at least along the west coast.

      So tourism in certain places can drop for reasons other than the American economy.

  • The latte would be more fun. Of course, I just registered for this lame promo, because a 1000 Hilton points is better than nothing.
