[Expired] IHG Award Sale: 20% Off (3/22 – 4/5)

Deal has ended, view more IHG deals by clicking here.

Update 3/28/22: This is now showing up for non cardholders as well. Unclear if available to all IHG members or only select. There is no landing page for this offer.

Update 3/22/22: Deal is now live, there is no direct link to offer but the discount displays when searching for rooms on desktop. Remember this is only for Chase IHG cardholders at the moment, should go live for everybody else soon.

The Offer

No direct link to offer, goes live on 3/22 for Chase IHG cardholders and a few days after for everybody else

  • IHG is offering 20% off award stays that last 1-3 nights.
    • Must book by 4/5/22
    • Valid on stays between 3/22/2022 and 5/25/2022

Our Verdict

This will work with free night certificates and the 10% rebate on the old Chase IHG card. Doesn’t stack with the fourth night free benefit unfortunately.

  • Not seeing this discount yet on my end. No status but an IHG member of course. Not a cardholder.

  • Awesome. Booked a domestic stay this spring for ~ 0.92 cpp, which is awesome considering I usually see it around 0.5 cpp.

  • Thanks for the post Doc, booked my stay in Lyon, France at the Intercontinental as it dipped below 40k, cash price at $320.

  • 5,000 points saved without a hotel change for an April 4 stay. With the points reduction, several hotels became redeemable with the free night certificate in better locations, so I reserved a different room at no cost. Win, win here.

  • Rebooked 1 out of 6 nights I had reserved earlier (rewards stay wasn't available on the other nights or was even more expensive) to save 6000 points :)

  • They need to revert to the older style promos and revamp pointbreaks. Very few people are incentized to stay by offering a small percentage off point stays. Its great that I can cancel my existing reservations and rebook them at lower rates but its certainly doesnt help grow loyalty or exposure to the brand. They really need a new marketing dept.

    • I agree! I rebooked and saved 200 reward points. Nothing like the old days.
Something is better than nothing but...
