Janus Brokerage: $100 Bonus With $100 Investment + $50 Auto Investment For Two Years

The Offer

Direct link to offer

  • Janus Brokerage is offering a $100 bonus with a $100 investment and $50 automatic monthly investment (needs to be kept active for 720 days)

Our Verdict

Thought this was worth considering, but having to keep the auto investment going for 2 years kills the deal for me.

  • I'm still confused whether this is worth it or not lol The less risky investments aren't an option for this offer. I half completed this.. like I opened the account but didn't choose a fund.. and Janus has been spamming me every day for the last month to finish funding but I dunno.. I'm very risk adverse.. I just like investments without much risk.. are there any like that in this promo?

  • 2/1: Opened
    2/3: $100 deposited
2/4: $100 ready invest go payment

I set up auto invest for the last day of the month. 720 days is up on 27/01/22

      • I chose the Forty Fund since it had one of the lower expense ratios but also good returns.

I have had some experience with Janus before and they were pretty good for me.

    • I ended up getting in this deal. I deposited $100 and the bonus posted the next day. For me this is an inexpensive way to invest a few dollars and see what results I get. I may add more depending on how my fund performs.

  • Yeah 2 years is too long to have to think about something like this for $100. Maybe if it were $400+ would be worth doing.

  • As I see it, it is a guaranteed 7% return excluding investment gains or losses. From that perspective, it looks great. However, the low amount to invest means creating another account for very little $ gain. I am on the fence.

  • Given recent experience with M1, it seems too risky for me to keep an account with an unknown brokerage for 2 years.

    • What does "Given recent experience with M1" mean? I've had my account with them for about 5-6 years and never had an issue.

    • Janus Henderson isn't some small nameless brokerage, they have $335B AUM, more than Merrill Edge ($320B). It's only their retail brokerage that is new.

  • Any fees associated with the account if it’s kept going for 2 years? $50/month isn’t a terribly large commitment if it’s in a reasonably sound investment like a money market or something where you’re unlikely to lose principal.

  • oh great.. their web site logged me out.. now I need a username to log in (which it never asked for and never emailed).. and to reset the username you need an account number which it also never gave me and never emailed.. so guess I need to call on Tues. to gain access
