The Offer

  • Kroger.com is selling $300 Lowe’s e-gift card for $270. You can buy up to 3.

The Fine Print

  • Offer valid from May 13, 2020 to May 19, 2020
  • Maximum discount allowed is subject to a maximum sum of $90 per customer

Our Verdict

These often go out of stock quickly, buy sooner rather than later. Should get 2x fuel points on the purchase as well. Kroger.com gift card purchases reportedly do not count as Grocery, but do count as Online Shopping for Bank of America.

  • Why are Lowe's GC's such a big deal? Is there a way to liquidate them or something?

    • You can stack with $20 of $100 coupons on eBay. Many of us are spending our free time doing house projects right now...

  • Agree with others that without coding as grocery this is a no go for me. Lowe's giftcards are a nightmare if you use them online and have any problems with your order.

  • FYI - it does say eGift cards and I can confirm... If you try to mail them, no discount.

    • Do these not get marked as grocery/supermarket? It's from kroger.com but I'm a bit nervous to test it. Would be nice to put it on my Chase where I get 5% back.

      • No, they show up as "GIFT CARDS" on statement and show up as "Merchandise & Supplies - Internet Purchase" on Amex.

        • Yup, sorry, disregard my last message. I must've been confusing it with another charge I made, weird..

      • The last time I purchased Lowe's gift cards on Kroger's site was in 2018 when they had a 15% discount. I used my Amex gold card and it had counted towards groceries. Hope that helps some

  • only 10% off? You can get this same discount- $100 Lowes GCs for $90 which is on sale most of time on other online stores.

      • I usually use those Amex/Discover/Citi "use one point" deals to get 20-30% off Lowe's GCs. I don't know of any way to regularly get a $100 Lowe's GC for $90 at a physical store but I'm all ears.

        • 1) Egifter usually have either 10% off on $50 or $100 gift card 2 -3 times a month. They dont have the promo right now but wait 2-3 weeks. 2) If you have Chase ultimate rewards they are currently running 10% off also in exchange for points. 3) If you have Amex/discover then you may be able to get this GC for 20% off also on Amazon(GC must be sold be Amazon digital LLC). 4) Swych, Dollar General, Newegg, Staples, Paypal, etc running 10% off once in a while. 5) Amex running a promotion right now 15% off on Happycards.com(happy guy), the Lowes gift card is bundled with other merchant GC... Okay maybe Im a bit exagerating when I said "most of the time" =).

          • Yes, Lowe's GC discounts are common, but not always at large total amounts.

The one-time Amex offer for $15 back is only on $100. That's a solid 15% on $100, but only 1.5% if you intend to spend $1000 total (think appliances, etc). That's where offers like this shine. 10% off on $900. Snag both the Amex offer and this for a net 10.5% off on $1000.

Stack that with a portal discount and you're doing even better. Rakuten is currently 1%, for example.

          • I'd add in 10% up to 1k Lowes Amex Offer that has been basically year round in some ways. Naturally, better ways to use that offer but still another example of Lowes being 10% off nearly always.
