Tried to use the $20 coupon to buy $100 home depot and it did not work since it came out to 100. Never tried using a discount through the app before so I could've done it wrong. I scanned the barcode on the app and made sure "gift card coupon: $20 off your purchase" was checked prior to scanning.

you have it backwards. you spend $100 on gift cards. then you get $20 that comes off your grocery. you cannot spend that on gift cards - just buy $20 in groceries and you will get the $20 right off.
Has anyone confirmed that it works for all gift cards (except for lidl gift cards) and not just the ones listed?
Should be everything except Lidl cards. I bought a $100 Visa gift card (+$5.95 activation fee) and got the coupon a few days later.
Can you do twice if you did the Nov one?
Yes, this is the second round. The coupon will appear in accounts on December 22.
This should stack with two Amex Offers.
The first offer is 20% of purchases up to $50 ($10 statement credit) which expires March 7, 2023.
The second offer is 5% extra on purchases at supermarkets up to $400 ($20 statement credit) which expires December 31, 2022
