Lyft Credit Card To Be Issued By Synchrony

In July 2017 it was announced that Uber & Lyft would be launching co-branded credit cards. The Barclays Uber card was launched in November 2017, but until now we haven’t known what was happening with the Lyft card. We speculated that it might be issued by Chase, but the card will actually be issued by Synchrony according to the WSJ. We don’t have any other details about the new card, but given that it’s being issued by Synchrony my expectations are exceptionally low. What benefits do you expect this card to have?

I have two cards issued by Synchrony and they’re notorious for being stingy with credit lines. They do HP when you request for a CL increase. I keep them in the sock drawer because I’ve had them for years and no AF.

Ya this is garbage.

My theory is lyft is trying to be different and likely couldnt get a bigger bank to bite on whatever it is. I already kind of had low expectations because the Uber card was so good and Lyft would need to not copy that, but this doesn’t bode well.

wth lyft at least TRY to compete with Uber. My guess is they’ll match the benefits of the marvel card and throw the lyft logo on it.

monthly fee that is charged without your knowledge, incredibly hard to cancel, fraudulent charges that are difficult to delete, and 1% off lyft rides

1% offf Lyft rides seems generous!
