Our Verdict

This one is not showing up in the circular, but it’s appearing in stores. I wouldn’t recommend going out for this, but if you need to go out anyway this is a good deal. Office Depot/Max keep everybody safe and just offer this online.

  • These are dead deals in my area for now. OD pulled all gift cards and are no longer selling them in the store until further notice (stores are still allowed to remain open in my part of KY).

    • I’m finding the same thing in St. Louis. I wonder if it’s just because of the virus? People at the store don’t seem to know why they were pulled, or are not saying. Oh well. At least Freedom has grocery stores this Q.

      • Hey Chris, the manager did confirm in my area that cards have been pulled due to covid-19. There was no timeframe on when gift cards would be put back on the floor for sale.

  • Absolutely agree on not going out for this promo (don't forget about the $1000 cards from Simon Mall being available online now if you need to meet an MSR) but fingers crossed that the $150 threshold is just a one-time deal due to these particular times...

  • does it work if you buy 10 cards on a single transaction? or I would have to do each $150 card separately ?

    • You can buy 10 cards in 1 transaction but the transaction will only take off $10 so it is kinda useless.

    • It's limit one per person. So you would have to buy 1 card then go back again a tad bit later. I stop at a few stores to get my cards

  • So OD and Governor decided, that for my state they only do curbside pickups of online orders. Locked the store, just put a table with the orders in front of the store and a single employee. Won't re-open till May at the earliest... :(

    • Good for your Governor. Wish they all did that. Ours locked us down early but still allows places like Staples/OD to be open.

  • Wondering if $200 card qualifies. Wondering if can get on line. IF so, stackable with 10% off web purchase from Citi?

  • Why don’t they ever make this deal available online? Especially considering the pandemic. Time to get with the 21st century, Office Max...

    • Because doing it online would defeat the purpose of the deal, which is ... to bring foot traffic to the store.

      • yet many of the odom he'uh in vuhginyah are offering curb site pick-up.... (and yah, will pick up some essentials while I'm there (but not quite) in the store.... if they have 'em

    • Logistics. They probably don't have the inventory in the central shipping location. Office Depot is not Amazon with warehouses all over the country.

  • If you do this deal, please dig your grave and bury yourself after so that no one will be infected beyond you. Opps, you probably infected someone else before you dug your own grave. Don't go!

    • @guest_952425 Stop being a paranoid idiot. OD remains open so that customers can still buy their office supply needs. Society must resume and people have to work and can't just be stuck in their homes all day. Just try to avoid human interaction as much as possible if going. Wear a mask to protect yourself, get in, get out and you will be fine. No need to spread unnecessary FUD.

    • In store. Too bad since it would work nicely with the 10x offer I got from Citi. i don't even see Visa gift cards on the OD site.

  • I mean... I'll take advantage of this if I'm out for essentials and near a store, so on that hand, I'm glad they're running this deal. At the same time... 😬😬😬
