Our Verdict

I know this is extremely popular with some readers and can obviously be fantastic value if you like Olive Garden pasta and can stomach eating lots of it in an eight week period. Chances of getting one of the $200 passes is basically zilch, but goodluck anyway! No drink is included this year, as Josh points out previously it was a drink for whole table and then just for the pass holder and now nothing.

Thanks to Doctor of Credit for the Pasta Pass offer.

I was able to score one again for 2017, and had the Pasta Pass for 2016
as well.

I was not interested in going to Italy.

So, you don’t receive a free beverage this year, but you do receive an
extra week. For me, it’s a wash. I’ll just order water with lemon slices.

I will be a fatter Kitty – with much more litter to dump out during the 8 weeks of the promotion. Big, fat and ready for Thanksgiving.

By the way, I had no problem using my American Express card to pay, and received the confirmation e-mail within 30 minutes of payment.

Do you think staff at Olive Garden will check my ID since the name I
used on the Pasta Pass this year is: LOOSE PUSSEE?
Since Olive Garden is using Tanya Tomato, why not LOOSE PUSSEE?

Thanks again Doctor of Credit!

I also got one and paid, bit then got an email saying my card had been declined. I took a screen shot so hopefully they will honor it! My credit card company says that the card was never even tried.

Go to the Olive Garden facebook page, DM them with your confirmation number and a screenshot of your payment method with the ‘red field’ error message and they will fix you up within minutes.

Tried to get the passport (yea right) and then immediately tried to get the pasta pass. Was sold out in the first 15 seconds.

Olive Garden says I won the pasta pass but the confirmation email declines my credit card payment. My credit card is good. Have I been scamed?

Well, I actually got two (using 2 devices) of the passports, and then checked out about 3 minutes apart. Then a few minutes later I got an email and then another email saying that my credit card had been declined. No reason for that. Plus, when the card is declined, I get an email from the issuer because it is always for fraud. No email. The email from Pasta Pass said my passes were still being held and I just needed to go in and update my payment info, which I did (with another card) and it wouldn’t let me submit it at all–it said there was an error in the field highlighted in red. No red anywhere. I tried on Chrome and Safari, on my laptop, iPad and phone. Always the same. I retyped all the fields. Nothing.

Next, I called the phone number on the ‘declined’ email I got. Auto answer said to wait for a person, but after about 45 seconds, it told me there was a system error and I got hung up on. That happened 4 times.
Maybe this happened to everyone. Anyway, I’ll be bummed if I don’t get it. Was going to be a gift.

In my case, 10 minutes before the actual deal starts, I opened the site on two computers with fast internet and kept my fingers ready on both computers and as soon the deal started, I clicked on both computers with each hand and in a tiny fraction of second, both $200 & $100 deals showed it as “SOLD OUT” and on one computer and luckily on other computer, it said, I was got into the $100 pasta pass and said I have 7 minutes to finish the checkout and I was able to checkout but moments later received an email saying my credit card declined and gave an option to update the payment details and I did and it again sent another email with same declined info. At this time, I used another credit card and I didn’t received the confirmation for more than an hour and finally got the confirmation email for the $100 deal.

Looks like you’d need to go at minimum twice a week to make the $100 deal worth it. Not sure my body can handle OG that frequently.
